  1. Ire 110-1published at 12 overs

    Target 147

I would imagine West Indies just want this game to be over now.

Ireland are inching ever closer to the Super 12s. The last time they reached the second round of games in a T20 World Cup was in 2009 so this will mean so much.

  2. Ire 107-2published at 11.4 overs

    Target 147

Oh, wow. When it's not your day...

Odean Smith thinks he has the wicket of Lorcan Tucker, caught and bowled off a well-directed bouncer, but it's a no-ball!

Would you believe it? Nothing is going right for the West Indies at all.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Paul Stirlingpublished at 11.2 overs

    WI 106-1

A half-century for the brilliant Paul Stirling from just 32 balls. He reaches the milestone via a deliberate outside edge down to third as West Indies continue to struggle to find any answers to him.

He has led Ireland in to a fantastic position.

Here is how Ireland lost their first and only wicket so far, Andy Balbirnie departing for a fine 37.

  5. Ire 101-1published at 11 overs

    Target 147

Even Alzarri Joseph has been uncharacteristically expensive today, West Indies' star bowler conceding 31 from his three overs.

Ireland bring up their 100 and the Super 12s are getting ever closer.

  6. 6 runs

    Ire 97-1published at 10.3 overs

    Target 147

Paul Stirling has been at his brutal best today. Alzarri Joseph drops too short and the Irishman absolutely nails it over mid-wicket for six where a fan takes a solid catch on grass bank.

Ireland can see the finish line, they can see the Super 12. West Indies need a wicket

  8. Ire 90-1published at 10 overs

    Target 147

Ireland are just happy to tick along in singles, six more of them coming from Akeal Hosein's third over.

The runs are still too easy to come by even when they're not finding the boundary, though, so West Indies still have a lot to do.

The West Indies really have to find a way to plug the gaps and stop those easy singles. And try to put some pressure on Tucker.

  10. Ire 84-1published at 9 overs

    Target 147

A much better over from Jason Holder, just six runs from it, but Ireland are so far ahead they can easily afford a couple of quieter overs.

  11. Ire 78-1published at 8 overs

    Target 147

And Lorcan Tucker picks up exactly where his captain left off, timing a sweep shot to perfection and helps himself to four runs.

He'll be absolutely furious. He could have hit it anywhere. Balbirnie has got Ireland off to a flier so it's not the end of the world.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 7.3 overs

    Balbirnie c Mayers b Hosein 37 (Ire 73-1)

Something for the West Indies to cheer, at last.

It's not his best ball but Akeal Hosein won't care in the slightest. Short, wide and Andy Balbirnie slices it straight to point.

He's disappointed but that's a fine innings and he's helped get Ireland off to an absolutely flying start.

  14. Ire 72-0published at 7 overs

    Target 147

The experienced Jason Holder takes his first over as West Indies try and regain some kind of control or even just some pride.

But even he gives away runs, drifting down the leg side and allowing Balbirnie to flick it off his legs for an easy four.

That's the end of the powerplay and what a powerplay it has been for Ireland.

  17. Ire 64-0published at 6 overs

    Target 147

Back-to-back fours from Paul Stirling and the carnage continues. West Indies' fielders have their heads in their hands, grimacing.

It's pretty clear who's on top at the end of the powerplay - it's been all Ireland.

  18. Ire 54-0published at 5 overs

Nine off the over seems a good result for West Indies at the moment. They have had no answers and the Irish opening pair have run riot.

  19. 6 runs

    Ire 52-0published at 4.2 overs

Shot of the day. That is beautiful.

Andy Balbirnie uses the pace of Obed McCoy to drive him over cover for six! Perfect timing and that's Ireland's 50 up already.
