  1. 6 runs

    WI 122-5published at 18 overs

A beauty from Odean Smith! He was struggling with one run from six balls before stepping back on to leg stump and crashing Josh Little's last ball over long-off for a powerful six.

A disappointing end to what was a very good over up until then for Little.

Nicholas Pooran also tried to take on the bigger boundary, with the same result.

  3. WI 112-4published at 17 overs

What an spell from Gareth Delany. Just one run and the wicket from the 17th over and he finishes with figures of 3-16 from his allocated four overs.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.3 overs

    Powell c Tector b Delany 6 (WI 112-5)

    Delany has his third!

The West Indian batters are not learning their lesson here. Rovman Powell tries to take on the big square boundary but doesn't time it well enough without any pace on the ball and picks out deep mid-wicket.

They are throwing away quite a good position here.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Brandon Kingpublished at 06:22 British Summer Time 21 October 2022

    WI 112-4

A fine fifty for Brandon King from 39 balls. He takes a single to get there and has been the glue for this West Indies innings so far.

He just needs some of their bigger hitters to play around him now.

  6. Not outpublished at 16 overs

    WI 111-4

Nope, there's no bat and Rovman Powell shrugs casually. Didn't look concerned at all.

    On we go!

  7. Ireland reviewpublished at 15.5 overs

    WI 111-4

From nowhere, Ireland have reviewed for a caught behind that barely anyone appealed for.

  8. WI 105-4published at 15 overs

Frustration for Gareth Delany as Rovman Powell sweeps the last ball of the over for four precious runs to get off the mark.

Five overs left and it's a decent enough platform for the West Indies but can they make the most of it?

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Pooran c Tector b Delany 13 (WI 99-4)

And Delany has another! Ireland breathe a sigh of relief as Nicholas Pooran departs.

The plan has been executed to perfection by Delany. He lofts the ball wide of off stump, challenging Pooran to try and clear the big boundary. Pooran accepts but whacks the ball straight to the deep cover fielder!

Big wicket. He thumps his bat in frustration as he leaves the field.

  10. Postpublished at 06:10 British Summer Time 21 October 2022

Evin Lewis was struggling with a hamstring injury, limping his way to 13 from 18 balls. Here's how Gareth Delany got his wicket.

  11. WI 99-3published at 14 overs

Josh Little responds well, just a single coming from his final two balls but that six was a certain signal of intent from Nicholas Pooran.

  12. 6 runs

    WI 98-3published at 13.3 overs

What a shot! Timed to absolute perfection from Nicholas Pooran.

Josh Little drops ever so slightly short but Pooran is on to it in a split second to crash it over mid-wicket for six.

  13. WI 90-3published at 13 overs

Simi Singh left the field briefly after dropping that difficult chance off Brandon King to get some treatment on his hand, but gets through his second over nicely here - conceding just singles.

  14. WI 84-3published at 12 overs

Brandon King is playing a blinder here. He pulls Barry McCarthy through mid-wicket for four before lofting the next ball straight down the ground for another boundary.

King has 42 from 28 balls and has held this innings together brilliantly - and he was dropped on four...

  15. WI 71-3published at 11 overs

A dot ball to complete a very good over for Ireland.

Captain Nicholas Pooran is the new batter for West Indies. He can be very destructive - and they will need him to be today.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 10.5 overs

    Lewis c Adair b Delany 13 (WI 71-3)

There it is! The wicket Ireland were desperate for.

West Indies had only scored two boundaries since the powerplay and you could sense they were searching for some. Gareth Delany does well, tossing the ball wide and tempting Evin Lewis into a big shot.

He obliges, but struggles for timing and Mark Adair takes a smart catch diving forward at long-off.

  17. WI 67-2published at 10 overs

Ireland are just pulling back a bit of control here. They've not taken a wicket but the boundaries have stopped flowing and West Indies are only able to find singles at the moment.

Halfway through the innings and they've got a nice platform, but can they kick on?

  18. Postpublished at 05:45 British Summer Time 21 October 2022

Here's how the second wicket fell, Ireland responding brilliantly just after Johnson Charles had smashed 16 from one over.

  19. WI 64-2published at 9 overs

Thankfully for the West Indies, Evin Lewis is fine to continue.

Six runs from the first five balls before Josh Little sends down a well-directed bouncer that Brandon King ducks underneath.

  20. WI 63-2published at 8.4 overs

In search of a wicket, captain Andy Balbirnie brings back his strike bowler, Josh Little.

He starts nicely before there's a break in play as Evin Lewis gets some physio treatment on a sore hamstring.
