  1. WICKET

    Campher c Allen b Southee 7 (Ire 120-6)

Curtis Campher cannot believe it. He looks to the heavens in frustration after smacking the ball straight to the man at mid-off.

  2. Post update

    Carl Hooper

Former West Indies all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

The Irish aren't going to give up without a fight.

  3. Post update

    Daniel Norcross

    BBC Test Match Special

Ireland will need more of that and it's just keeping a tantalising prospect alive.

  4. Ire 118-5

They all count! It's very wide from Trent Boult, George Dockrell stretches and toe-ends the ball away fine past third man for four.

Nothing wrong with this, though. Dockrell ends the over with a magnificent drive through the covers to make it back-to-back boundaries.

    Ireland going down swinging.

  5. Ire 107-5

Trent Boult returns and his first ball is slashed away by Curtis Campher through third man for four.

  6. Post update

    Daniel Norcross

    BBC Test Match Special

Dockrell and Campher have done it before in a previous tournament when they got Scotland out. Can they do it here?

  7. Ire 103-5

Curtis Campher is the new batter, though all the tension has been released from this game.

The run-rate is now 16.60 an over.

  8. Post update

    Henry Moeran

    BBC Test Match Special commentator

Tucker looked to go inside out but all he could go was hit it straight into the hands of Allen and New Zealand are on their way to the semi-finals.

  9. WICKET

    Tucker c Allen b Sodhi 13 (Ire 102-5)

They might be out of it now, though.

Lorcan Tucker has perfectly picked out the fielder at long-off.

Ireland five down and New Zealand surely on their way to victory.

  10. Post update

    Carl Hooper

Former West Indies all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

The score right now means it will take something special but they are not yet out of the game.

  11. Ire 99-4

George Dockrell joins Lorcan Tucker in the middle.

The required rate is now 14.5 runs an over.

    Tough.

  12. Post update

Paul Stirling and Harry Tector fell in successive overs as New Zealand began to exert their authority on the match.

  13. Post update

    Alex Hartley

Former England bowler on BBC Test Match Special

Ferguson not had the success that he would necessarily have wanted in this World Cup but he is bowling brilliantly today.

  14. WICKET

    Delany c Conway b Ferguson 10 (Ire 94-4)

    That's out though.

A slower ball from Lockie Ferguson does for Gareth Delany as he edges through to Devon Conway.

It was a good take by the New Zealand wicketkeeper, though it was a pretty ugly swipe by Delany.

  15. Not out

Not out. Tucker had got his foot down in time.

  16. Umpire review

Have New Zealand got Lorcan Tucker here? Devon Conway is excited and thinks he has the Ireland man stumped.

The umpires send it upstairs. Judging by the body language of the players I think Tucker made it back into his crease.

  17. Post update

Here is the first wicket to fall as Andrew Balbirnie chopped onto his own stumps.

  18. Ire 89-3

Ooh, just over the fielder's head.

It is another uppish cut shot from Lorcan Tucker and the ball fizzes just over the man at backward point, though Jimmy Neesham does really well to claw the ball back before it went over the rope.

Tucker misses a sweep the next ball but is escapes through the wicketkeeper's legs and Ireland can run two byes.

  19. Ire 81-0

    In the air....but safe!

Lorcan Tucker top-edges Ish Sodhi into the sky but the ball lands just short of the fielder running in from mid-on.

  20. Ire 79-3

Gareth Delany is the new batter and gets a four off his first ball with a cut through point.

Ireland need plenty more of those. We are getting to the point now where the run-rate is starting to disappear off into the distance.
