That's the loudest the crowd has been all day. It's an eruption of noise. The Pakistan fans believe again.

His record for getting a wicket in the first over is the best in the world.
That was the perfect length. There is plenty of movement out there for the seamers if they get the right length.
That is a very good start for Pakistan.

That is a beautiful piece of classic left-arm pace bowling.
Alex Hales lost his balance a little bit and his head went over to the off-side.
Hales b Shaheen 1 (Eng 7-1)
Bowled him! What a delivery!
A superb piece of bowling from Shaheen Afridi as he spears a fearsome swinging delivery in to Alex Hales and the ball clatters into his stumps.
The MCG errupts!

That was a better length from Shaheen Afridi. I know he wants to attack the stumps but you have to be careful not to get too full here at the MCG.
That's a good response from Shaheen Afridi. He just pulls his length back a touch and gets Jos Buttler driving and the ball flashes past the outside edge.
Shaheen Afridi briefly considers an appeal for an edge, but Buttler got nothing on it.

England have stole that single to mid-off. Alex Hales called Jos Buttler through very quickly, he knew it was on straight away.
This is brilliant running from England as they put pressure on the Pakistan fielders.
Alex Hales pinches a single at mid-off, before Jos Buttler helps the ball through to fine leg for two.
Shaheen Afridi is full and straight first up and Jos Buttler clips it through square leg. It does not have enough on it for a boundary but England still manage to get through for three.
Good running.

You can never find the middle of the bat when you're batting against Shaheen Afridi. He is one of the best in the world.

England have to watch this because this is where they went wrong against Ireland. They admitted that they didn't look at the radar and DLS score enough.
There is a band of rain coming so England need to keep an eye on that, but the good news is there isn't any more rain behind it at the moment so if it stops quickly we should be able to get back on.
We are all nervously watching the radar at the moment. Some wet stuff looks to be on its way, but England need to focus on the task in hand and not worry about that.
Here come Jos Buttler and Alex Hales.
Shaheen Afridi, who can hoop the ball round corners, will open the bowling for Pakistan.

Shaheen Afridi will be going full and straight in the first over, let me tell you that now. He'll be looking for a bowled or an lbw.
If England lose three or four wickets in the powerplay they will worry. If they don't then this shouldn't be enough. Pakistan have left 10-15 runs out there.

Paul Lummis: Aside from a total collapse, that went about as well as it could have done for England. That total feels about 25-30 short of par - now it's on the batsmen to take advantage!!
No, I'm Spartacus: Buttler and Hales will come out hard which will be a chance for Pakistan, but they are at least 30 runs short there. Quite an implosion after a decent start.

The radar looks OK at the moment, but there may be a patch of rain coming.

It is slightly different conditions and dimensions today, and slightly differently bowlers.
Pakistan have six wicket-taking bowlers in their side. They are not bothered about containing, they want to take wickets.
The atmosphere is lively at Fatima Jinnah Park in Islamabad.
There is a huge gathering of people now.

Ben Stone: Sam Curran is now an integral part of this white-ball team. Outstanding bowling and he will only get better.
Elliot Newstead: 3-12 in a World Cup final? Where’d you want your statue Sam Curran?
