That shows a lot of character from Ryan Higgins to go for the catch because he's had a mare!

Ryan Higgins is having an absolute nightmare out there. That one isn't his fault though.

That could have taken out his teeth!

  4. Brave 107-1published at 31 balls left

Four more for James Vince and poor Ryan Higgins has a night to forget. He goes for a catch but the ball goes under him for four.

    One to win.

I'm off to Peppa Pig World with my daughter in the morning.

That's the way to celebrate, Tymal.

Marcus Stoinis with another huge swing of the bat to Jake Ball, but again he does not get the meat of the bat on it. He shakes his head.

This has been a masterclass in white-ball batting from James Vince.

  8. Brave 101-1published at 35 balls left

James Vince brings up three figures with a single off the penultimate ball of David Payne's set. A walk in the park for the Southern Brave so far.

Can they finish it in style?

It is always a bad indication when the Mexican wave comes out.

Let’s be honest this game hasn’t been much of a contest but the crowd doesn’t seem too bothered. They’re currently trying to get a Mexican wave going.

    Target 108

Marcus Stoinis is looking to play some big shots, but has not quite made contact yet. He swings his bat at one from David Payne but it deflects off the toe end of his bat and Brave scramble a single.

There's a guy walking around the bottom of the stands with a homemade 'We Love Nass' sign - I assume a reference to former England captain and Sky commentator Nasser Hussain.

I don't think it's Rob Key, his former team-mate and colleague turned ECB supremo, but he's a long way away...

It's slightly flighted, James Vince gets the stride down, good connection and crunches it over mid-wicket for six. Beautiful batting. Vince just gets better and better. He's a man at the top of his career.

Kapow! James Vince hits the first six of the innings by whacking Noor Ahmad over the boundary.

It's looking it's going to be an absolute breeze for Southern Brave this evening.

What a shot from James Vince to bring up his 50. Quality, quality stuff from the Southern Brave captain.

You have to say what a great advert James Vince is for classical batting. He always plays proper cricket shots.

He has a proper base that means we can succeed in the red-ball format and all of the white-ball formats. He just has a solid foundation.

It's been too easy for James Vince, it was too easy for Alex Davies and I think Welsh Fire have started their campaign in the worst way possible.

Fifty for Vincepublished at 45 balls left

    Well batted James Vince.

He calmly thumps the final ball of Adam Zampa's set for four to bring up his half-century off 31 balls. Welsh Fire have really been made to pay for that drop earlier.

  20. Brave 73-1published at 49 balls left

Adam Zampa gives a lot of air with his first ball to Marcus Stoinis who calmly nudges it for a single. He will not want to get out to his good friend, that's for certain.
