Lovely shot. It really was a crunch and the ball made a sweet sound off the bat. This powerplay has been all Southern Brave.
Crunnnncccchhhhh! Who makes James Vince's bats? He gets over the top of a shorter ball from Jake Ball and it pings off his bat making a lovely sound with a cut shot.
The Southern Brave fans are enjoying this...
A chip over the infield by James Vince as he lifts Fire bowler Jake Ball over his head for a one-bounce four. All too easy at the moment.

Welsh Fire are massively under par tonight but we should see Southern Brave lifting the crowd with some boundaries and that's what we need.
Target 108
Welsh Fire bring Aussie spinner - and coffee snob - Adam Zampa into the attack. James Vince confidently strikes his first ball for four before three singles off the next three balls.
Looking like a cakewalk for Southern Brave so far.

Here's Adam Zampa. You've got to get him in early and see if he can get three or four for you.
But the Brave are in such a good position that they don't particularly need to go after him.
James Vince is on fire.

Southern Brave's intent has been outstanding. The pressure they've put on the seamers so far has been the difference between the two teams really.

That was a lovely crisp connection.
Alex Davies joins in the fun. He hits David Payne with a guide off the bat then hits it straight down the ground, holding the pose for good measure.
Three boundaries from that set of five from Payne
Welsh Fire's Ben Ducket on player mic: "Obviously after getting a low score, we've got to hold our chances, especially when it's their main man.
"We've just got to keep trying to get wickets and you never know."

Former England spinner on BBC Two
Deep in the crease and James Vince pounced on that. All the time in the world and he's dispatched that through square leg.
Brave won all four of their home matches last season and they have started well here. David Payne drops it in short and James Vince absolutely wallops it for another four.

I thought Southern Brave bowled fantastically well. Their bowlers were clinical and professional - whatever homework they did and their spinners did worked well and that is why I think they are the team to beat again this year.
A lovely shot from James Vince who drives the ball beautifully off the bowling of Jake Ball to notch his second boundary. That went all along the carpet. Classy shot.

Oh my word! An absolute nightmare for Welsh Fire!

Oh, he's dropped that. I thought it came on the bounce.
That could be a crucial drop.
