Everything James Vince does as captain turns to gold. He can do no wrong at the moment, every bowling change is working. He's doing a great job.

He's got his Warwickshire team-mate out. He knows him really well and, like last year, Lintott has got a wicket when his team needed it.
Hain c Davies b Lintott 9 (Fire 41-4)
Another one! Brave are all over Fire.
Sam Hain looks to reverse sweep away but can't get connect properly and feathers through to wicketkeeper Alex Davies behind the stumps.
Fire really need a partnership at this stage.

It feels quite a relaxed atmosphere at the ground. There are lots of young kids but plenty of groups of adults too, plenty of whom are milling around with a pint. A new team or not, the crowd are definitely getting behind Brave but there is one Welsh flag hanging from a balcony on the top floor of the hotel.

Ben Duckett can hit all around the ground. He's managed to get the ball fine enough that it's inside the fielder on the boundary. Really well executed.
Inventive!
Ben Duckett shovels across, exposing all of his stumps, but paddles away for four more runs.
It means Marcus Stoinis goes for eight from his first set of five balls. He starred for Australia in last year's T20 World Cup and will be available for most of the group stage, before going on international duty.

Bowling faster is something Chris Jordan is keen to do. He wants to take himself up from 85mph to 90mph more consistently. The sleeve on his right arm I thought was a fashion thing, but having played with him if you look at his bicep below the sleeve it's gory because of all the surgeries.

England bowler on BBC Two
He was miles out, he'd given up. Just bounced over the stumps.
Oh, hit em!
Ben Duckett attempts a quick single and a direct hit - a throw that hits the stumps without being collected - would have left him miles out.
That's a tidy start from Chris Jordan. He should be a key player in this tournament - he has been a regular for England in white-ball cricket for many years now.

The seamers have bowled really well so far. They assessed the conditions really well, hit the pitch hard, got a bit of seam movement and put the Welsh Fire under pressure.

Welsh Fire will take the runs however they come at the moment.
James Fuller, who will play for Southern Brave when South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock is unavailable, bowls the latest set of five.
Ben Duckett, who was one of few Fire players to go well last year, gets up and running with a slightly fortuitous four through the off side.
Fire need this partnership to go big.
Southern Brave's Chris Jordan on player mic: "It was an excellent powerplay. The boys really set the tone well and read the conditions perfectly."

Sam Hain ran the drinks a lot for Manchester Originals last season, but he is an exciting prospect for Welsh Fire. Fire have got a few players who were at Originals last season - Joe Clarke, Hain and myself have all made the move!
The 25-ball powerplay is over.
It has definitely gone the way of Southern Brave, the defending champions.
Sam Hain is up and running for Fire though. He's another who has made the move from Manchester Originals. He's off the mark with a four, glanced round the corner.

It was a premediated shot - Ollie Pope was after runs and boundaries. It's very well bowled by Craig Overton. Great captaincy by James Vince who used his seam bowlers to keep the pressure on when he felt his side were on top.

They've got to find ways of scoring still. That's a shot we saw Joe Root playing in the Test matches and hitting for six.
It was good bowling from Overton, full and straight. You miss, I hit.

What have you done, Ollie Pope? He's ramped it onto his own off stump!
