  1. Invincibles 6-1published at 94 balls left

Short and wide from Chris Wood and Curran slaps it away square for four! That's more like it for the home side.

  2. Invincibles 2-1published at 95 balls left

    170 runs needed

Superb start from Ellis, who helped bowl Hampshire Hawks to victory - in the most dramatic fashion - in the Blast final against Lancashire. Just a couple of runs from his first five.

Sam Curran has joined Will Jacks out in the middle for the Invincibles.

Jason Roy was just laughing on his way off. He's an England World Cup winner, one of the best batters in the world in the past few years but NOTHING is going right for him at the minute.

A first-ball duck after his poor run with England.

Can you believe it? It is just one of those things. How many times do you see that going between wicketkeeper and that fielder and away for four.

That is a not a great shot I'm afraid. He was just hanging the bat out.

    Roy c Crane b Ellis 0 (Invincibles 0-1)

Gone first ball! A very loose shot from Jason Roy - it was neither one thing nor the other - and the ball slides off the edge to Mason Crane at short third.

    Roy's struggles this summer continue.

The perfect start for Nathan Ellis and London Spirit!

After rolling back the years with the bat, Eoin Morgan has led London Spirit back out onto the field and we're just about set for the Oval Invincibles innings.

With the Spirit scoring so freely, it was a tough innings for the Invincibles bowlers and their figures took something of a beating.

For those of you for whom The Hundred is your first experience of cricket, bowlers' figures are usually written as the number of wickets they've taken and the number of runs they've conceded. Eg. One wicket for 12 runs or 1-12.

England are on track to maintain their 100% record at the Commonwealth Games after restricting to New Zealand 71-9 in their final group game.

Both sides have already qualified for Saturday's semi-finals and Nat Sciver's side need just 72 in 20 overs to top the group and avoid meeting favourites Australia in the last four.

Katherine Brunt (2-4), Issy Wong (2-10) and Sarah Glenn (2-13) all took two wickets as England dominated the innings from start to finish.

Maddy Green (19) and Hannah Rowe (10*) were the only New Zealand batters to make double figures.

England are well on their way to chasing it down, they're 43-1 after six overs.

Thanks, Ffion. After a rather one-sided match last night, it looks like it's game on at the Oval!

For one-sided, you have to go to Edgbaston today...

Well, that was an entertaining first half!

Oval Invincibles have some decent batting though, so it's far from game over. London Spirit will have to bowl well.

Here's Sam Drury to take you through the next 100 balls. Don't go anywhere - I think we're in for a cracker.

If you'd offered Spirit 171 at the start of the start I think they'd have snatched at it with both hands.

Invincibles have come back well though. It should be a really good second innings - they have some serious power hitters who are going to have to go from ball one.

  17. Spirit 171-6published at Ball 100

Just the two from Sam Curran's final ball, who finishes well, but that's an impressive performance from the Spirit.

They finished last in last year's competition but they've started very well here. Can Eoin Morgan lead them to victory?

    That's a decent total.

Sam Curran is limiting the Spirit well here.

If he can avoid going for a boundary off this last ball the Invincibles have pulled this back well and they will have the momentum going into their innings.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at Ball 99

    Thompson c Cox b S Curran 9 (Spirit 169-6)

Brilliant bowling from the younger Curran.

Thompson tries to smash one into the leg side but it's a slower ball, difficult for the batter to time it well and it's chipped up into the air for another catch.

Sam Curran seems like a bowler that is always one step ahead of the batter. He's got all the variations and he's so good at choosing when to use them.
