Well, the Trent Rockets top order owe Daniel Sams and Lewis Gregory big time there.

They were in all sorts of trouble.

From 53-6 to 145, that's some recovery.

That was definitely not how I expected the innings to go. To be honest, I didn't think they'd make it through the 100 balls when they were trudging through treacle but that injection from Sams was top-class.

Birmingham Phoenix have got some real firepower in that batting line up so it could all be over very quickly. But who knows in the Hundred?! Anything can happen.

An innings that promised very little is in the end is a moderate total. Nothing more than that but it is something to defend. The target is 146.

That partnership between Gregory and Sams played the Rockets back into the game. They couldn't have had any more of a nightmare start that losing their openers so early and then no one else managed to get going.

But this could have saved them. That innings from Sams was sensational but it's still a moderate total. Can they defend it?

A fifty from the Australian all-rounder put a dampener on the usually vocal crowd which reflects just how important it was. He played all around the ground and used innovation well and it might just have Rockets fans believing.

Just a few quick wickets and we're on for a real nail-biter.

This partnership has put the Rockets right back in this game. Sams is currently 41 from just 19 and Moeen Ali has turned to Brookes in the hope of breaking it.

They could get 150 at this rate and then it's game on.

Brilliant from Sams here! That's what he can do at the back end of an innings and if he continues to bat he could push their total up to 140.

They're running well between the wickets here, Gregory and Sams. They've managed to push the Rockets beyond the 100 mark.

But that's not enough for Sams who goes down the ground and launches Howell back over his head. And then he goes back-to-back.

That's put a bit of a blemish on some great figures from Howell but this is a great knock from Sams.
