Manchester Originals have played good cricket and a lot of that is down to the powerplay. The powerplay especially when defending here is so crucial and boundaries are a lot harder when you have fielders out there.

    Another one for Sean Abbott.

Adam Zampa gets two off his first ball but then skies one and Paul Walter takes a very good catch running towards the boundary.

    Critchley b Abbott 7 (Fire 80-7)

Ah, that one's on me, sorry Welsh Fire fans.

Live texter's curse strikes as Matt Critchley drags back on to his own stumps from Sean Abbott who has been involved in almost every Fire wicket to fall.

    Target 150

Those big hits from South African Pretorius have given Welsh Fire a glimmer of hope.

Still need 70 from 30 balls though. Can't afford to lose another wicket any time in the next 20 balls surely.

The worm shows Welsh Fire Men are 33 runs behind Manchester Originals Men. Welsh Fire Men are 80 for 6 after 70 balls. At the same stage Manchester Originals Men were 113 for 5.

A little bit of respite for the Welsh Fire. They're going to need a lot more of that if they want to win.

  8. Fire 70-6published at 35 balls left

    Target 150

It has to be do or die for Welsh Fire now.

Dwaine Pretorius has batted nicely in his short stint at the crease and he lets rip with a lovely drive that goes all the way for four at cow corner.

  9. Fire 65-6published at 37 balls left

    Target 150

Matt Critchley enjoys a let-off with a soft chip that would have been easy pickings if any fielder had been near.

It's going to be a hard hard work here for the visitors.

And it's a long journey back to Cardiff too.

  13. Fire 59-6published at 44 balls left

Dwaine Pretorius is the next batter up and he's off the mark with a nice deep cover drive that Tristan Stubbs does his best to stop reaching the boundary - but fails.

Another wicket falls and Miller has to go and with him go the hopes of the Welsh Fire and they have just lost their sixth wicket.

Celebrations here at Old Trafford as the home team have a massive chance here.

    Instead, they find fielders.

The Originals' fielders are like magnets to the ball at the minute as David Miller smacks one straight to Wayne Madsen and Andre Russell has his first wicket of the night.

  16. Fire 54-5published at 47 balls left

Now, Andre Russell is into the attack.

Good running from David Miller earns a two but he and Matthew Critchley need to start finding the boundaries.

It's Manchester Originals at the moment, it's in their hands and they have bowled very well so far.

  20. Fire 50-5published at 50 balls left

    Target 150

A couple of dot balls end that excellent set from Tristan Stubbs. He's taken 2-6 off 10 deliveries.

Halfway through the Welsh Fire innings and they need 100 off 50 balls. Easy maths - they have to double their current rate. Trouble is they only have five wickets in hand.
