  1. Brave 10-0published at 95 balls left

    Target 130

A wide then another lovely Paul Stirling boundary - but then he gets away with one, a reverse ramp that's just out of the reach of a backpedalling George Scrimshaw.

There's real drizzle coming down now. Are Southern Brave in a rush because of the weather? It could have an impact here.

Fine leg up in the circle and anything that's drifting, Paul Stirling can help on its way.

  3. Brave 4-0published at 98 balls left

    Target 130

A good start for the visitors.

David Payne bowls a dot ball but then a really loose one that Paul Stirling just tickles away past the wicketkeeper for four.

Paul Stirling and Quinton de Kock are the Southern Brave openers.

Southern Brave's women triumphed against Welsh Fire earlier today - and it was smiles all around.

Will the men's team follow suit? The players are out - it's go time.

Southern Brave's Jake Lintott on the player mic: "It will be tricky to face pace and spin, the wicket doesn't look great, but I'm sure someone will put their hand up and get a score."

So, full credit to Welsh Fire for actually making a game of this with some late big-hitting.

Bottom of the table, at 1-3 and 25-4 they could have given up the ghost.

Will they get the reward for their perseverance? We'll find out shortly.

    It didn't stop there either.

  9. Watch: Garton puts out the Firepublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 22 August 2022

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the Southern Brave reply will not begin like the Welsh Fire innings did.

Southern Brave need 130 to win

    Thanks, Anurag.

Well what a strange innings that was.

At several stages, it looked a formality but Welsh Fire have given themselves a glimmer of hope with that late flurry.

    Okay, that's it from me.

Michael Beardmore will take you through the second innings.

People talk about the word momentum in this short format and even though you look at their total and think it is well short they will think they finished well and if they take a couple of early wickets you never know.

That was a real late rally from Welsh Fire. That was a big last five balls.

They took 27 off the last 20 balls.

  14. Fire 129-8published at 100 balls

And he finishes with another six. So that's an impressive late surge from the Fire, that last set will give them a lot of momentum going into the defence.

Southern Brave need 130 runs to win.

  15. 6 runs

    Fire 123-8published at 99 balls

    Yay, there's 120.

Hogan bangs it into the track but Critchley is up to the task as he hooks it over fine leg for six.

This is a late rally from Welsh Fire, they are working up towards a total they can potentially defend.

  17. Fire 116-8published at 97 ball

That was very much in the V.

Overpitched on off stump and Scrimshaw lofts it over mid-off for four.

Come on, we're getting closer and closer to 120!

  18. Fire 110-8published at 95 balls

I tell you what, 120 is back on the cards.

That previous set ended with four-wide-four.

Critchley, what've you got in store? More runs in the A?

That is what the tail end is good for!

Play in the A, not the V!

  20. Fire 106-8published at 94 balls

Handy runs for the Fire as Critchley squeezes a yorker away past the keeper.

Was off the inside edge but does it matter? Not for the Fire.
