Originals 68-1published at 55 balls
Another five from Hayley Matthews is completed. Eight runs from it.
But she should have got a wicket. Will that spark the Originals into life?

Now hang on, what's this?
Deandra Dottin goes big, looping one to the boundary. Fi Morris is under it, makes the catch, but crashes into a teammate on the ropes. She falls and the ball flies out her hands for a six.
What a let off!

Katie George will be a bit disappointed with that ball because she'd bowled a really good set until that last bowl was wide and allowed the batter to free her arms.
It feels like 120-130 could be a good score on this pitch.

I imagine Emma Lamb will breath a sigh of relief with that shot.
Halfway through the innings.
Katie George is handed the ball and continues piling on the dots. Emma Lamb just can't get off strike, she's continuing to struggle with her timing.
But she's given an opening with the final ball of the set, placing a wide one to the boundary.

Emma Lamb has got 27 off 29 balls at the moment. She will need to score a little faster if Originals are going to get up to a decent total.
Some news from the men's competition. Southern Brave's Chris Jordan has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament because of injury. A replacement will be named soon.
Lamb 27, Dottin 12
The fifty comes up with a brilliant four from Deandra Dottin, stepping back and placing the ball over backward-point.
The Originals will need a lot more shots like that. When will they start to accelerate? They have the wickets to spare.

It has been a decent start from Manchester Originals, I certainly wouldn't say it was a disaster.
Emma Lamb is struggling with her timing, scything at a short ball and only just chipping it over a back-pedalling fielder on the edge of the inner-ring.
And partner Deandra Dottin also gets a bit of luck at the crease, with her drive only just evading a diving mid-off late in Sutherland's latest set. Nervy times.

It has been a good start from Welsh Fire.
Originals will now be chasing a little bit and you start to slog rather than playing cricketing shots.
More spin, Hayley Matthews also finds success against her West Indies teammate Deandra Dottin, starving the batter of any looseners to attack.
Manchester Originals are struggling to get going.

Welsh Fire look like they have a really strong team and they just need to stick to their plans at the moment.
Hartley's 10-ball spell then was fantastic and it has kept Fire in the game and put Originals a bit on edge by the looks of it.
Lamb 22, Dottin 4
Hartley continues her fine form, conceding three more runs from her next five deliveries.
The pressure has built. Will we see the Originals swinging now?

Jack Rule: The irony that the Originals' first wicket comes from the bowling of Alex Hartley. 1-0 to the red corner.
Alex Hartley is a Lancashire lass and former Original for those who didn't know...

Welsh Fire will certainly be happy with the powerplay and Alex Hartley has had a wonderful start.
Brilliant from Alex Hartley. She goes for just two runs off her first five balls while also claiming that key wicket.
Hey, why not? She'll bowl another set now too.
And that's the power play done by the way. Welsh Fire are on top.

Alex Hartley will be feeling the pressure today playing against her old Hundred side and at the ground where she plays her domestic cricket, but she is thriving on that at the moment.
