The pressure was building on Lizelle Lee and Manchester Originals.

The pressure was building on Lizelle Lee and Manchester Originals.
Lee c Nicholas b Hartley 3 (Originals 27-1)
Well that lbw won't matter as the very next ball Lizelle Lee top-edges Alex Hartley straight to Claire Nicholas.
That's the breakthrough.
Originals 27-0
By the barest of margins. The wicket is hitting but the impact is umpires' call. Lizelle Lee survives.

It does look like there is a tiny deviation to me.

Is there an inside edge?
Originals 27-0
Spin returns with Alex Hartley and she thinks she has Lizelle Lee out lbw straight away. Umpire says no, but we go upstairs...

That was a fabulous five balls from the 20-year-old; Emma Lamb just didn't know what to do with them.
Lamb 20, Lee 3
Annabel Sutherland starts with two dots as she tries to chase the edge of Emma Lamb's bat.
Hang on, make that three dots as Lamb swings and misses once more.
And now four dots, Lamb ducks a bouncer. Last ball...Lamb top-edges over the keeper for four.

Claire Nicholas has just been a little bit short to Emma Lamb and it has allowed the opener to go back and cut away. Nicholas was more successful going fuller to Lamb.
And Emma Lamb goes back to the same cut shot to finish the set.
Another four. The Originals are accelerating.

Emma Lamb just glided that. It was played really crisply and it like threading it through the eye of a needle.
Claire Nicholas gets away with it. Lizelle Lee can only manage a single.
But next ball, with the pressure back on, Emma Lamb threads a cut through a wall of fielders and finds the boundary.

The change of ends won't make a massive difference to Claire Nicholas. Players do practice at both ends because you just never know in cricket these days, things can change.
We stay with spin as Claire Nicholas comes back for another set from the opposite end.
She starts with two dots. The pressure builds...
But then she oversteps and gives the Originals a free hit.

That is just clever cricket from Emma Lamb because there is absolutely nobody there. She was just able to guide it there and it has caused a field change.
Lamb 7, Lee 2
Lauren Filer is handed the ball and immediately finds some swing. A lot of swing, she opens with two wides.
She corrects her line and puts Emma Lamb into immediate danger who only just blocks out.
But Lamb bounces back, getting down on one knee and scooping the next delivery over her shoulder for four.

I do love opening the game with spin. It speeds the game up as well and the batter doesn't have time to settle into the game in this format so it is good to get through the balls.
Lizelle Lee is strangled by some fuller deliveries before she gets off the mark with a sweep.
Another single, just two runs off Claire Nicholas' opening set. Good bowling.

Claire Nicholas isn't a huge turner of the ball so I suspect that Lizelle Lee might target over the off-side because of the lack of turn.
We start with some spin as Emma Lamb takes an easy single off the bowling of Claire Nicholas.
