Alex Hartley says that Southern Brave perhaps got "10-15 runs more than we wanted" but then still thinks that is "below par".

    Time will tell.

That is a fabulous way for the Welsh Fire to wrap up. Yes there was a six but two wickets for Hayley Matthews and a run out.

Shrubsole st Bryce b Matthews 0 (Brave 122-8)

Three wickets in the final set.

Anya Shrubsole comes dancing down the pitch and looks to loft down the ground but misses and Sarah Bryce gathers and knocks off the bails.

Welsh Fire will need 123 to win.

Well, that's poor. Not even in the frame.

  5. wicket

Wellington run out (Bryce) 1 (Brave 122-7)

    Messy!

Amanda-Jade Wellington hits the ball straight to the fielder on the boundary rope but Georgia Adams decided she wants to run two.

It's not the best throw in from the boundary but Sarah Bryce gathers the ball and runs back to the stumps and knocks off the bails.

Annabel Sutherland making no mistake this time.

  7. wicket

    Kemp c Sutherland b Matthews 1 (Brave 121-6)

Annabel Sutherland pounces this one though!

Left-hander Freya Kemp looks to drive the ball down the ground but doesn't get enough on it and it is a simple catch from Sutherland.

Can Fire restrict Brave from the final two balls?

I think that goes down as a missed chance. Did that hit the sponge on the full? Yes it did.

  9. 6 runs

    Brave 120-5published at 96 balls

    That will help!

Georgia Adams looks to go big again, this time off off-spinner Hayley Matthews.

Annabel Sutherland in about five yards in off the boundary rope and she has to lean backwards to try and take the catch and ends up misjudging it.

That is a miscalculation from Sutherland.

Solid set of five. Picked up a wicket and obviously went for the boundary but she's finished off strong.

  11. Brave 114-5published at 95 balls

Good comeback from Nicola Carey, conceding just two singles after that six.

Five balls left. Can Brave get up to 125?

Credit to the captain and the fielding team. Even though they dropped a few catches, they didn't let their heads go down.

  13. 6 runs

    Brave 112-5published at 93 balls

    Shottt!

Nicola Carey goes a tad too full and Georgia Adams just plants it back down the ground for the first six of the innings.

    Lovely shot.

  14. Brave 106-5published at 92 balls

Freya Kemp is the new batter. She is capable of clearing the ropes and is off the mark straight away with a single.

Crucial time to have a new batter out there. Sophia Dunkley was well set and could've done a lot of damage.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 91 balls

    Dunkley lbw b Dunkley 49 (Brave 105-5)

    Excellent review!

There is no bat on it and the technology shows it would have gone crashed into leg stump so Sophia Dunkley is out on 49.

It has been a good innings from her though.

  17. Fire reviewpublished at 16:01 British Summer Time 22 August 2022

Has Sophia Dunkley got to her half-century or is she out?

Tammy Beaumont has decided to send it upstairs.

That should not have been four.

  20. Brave 105-4published at 90 balls

    Ah, that's poor.

Lauren Filer doesn't get down low enough and the ball goes through her hands and then through her legs and into the boundary rope.

Sophia Dunkley and Georgia Adams are running really well at the moment. They picked up two good twos in that set.
