Filer sees Gibson running down the track and she drops it short. Gibson goes through with a flat-batted swat but she can't beat the fielder at long-on.
ECB to support Rainbow Laces
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) are supporting LGBTQ+ rights charity Stonewall's Rainbow Laces campaign across this weekend.
Matches in The Hundred, the Royal London Cup quarter-finals and England men's Test against South Africa will be involved, from Thursday until Sunday.
The laces have been shared with all professional palyers participating and have been made available to a selection of recreational cricket clubs across the country.
Rainbow Laces messaging will feature at all professional games across the weekend, alongside branded stumps and a presence on the big screen.
England men's batter Joe Root said: “Cricket needs to be for everyone, and as players we need to keep doing our bit to demonstrate that we believe in that – that we want everyone to feel included and welcome in our sport.”
England women’s batter Lauren Winfield-Hill said: “I was lucky enough that I always felt able to play cricket as a young girl, but that isn’t always the case for everyone, and we need to work hard to lower the hurdles so that everyone is able to access cricket."

Those two boundaries have brought the equation back to a run-a-ball.
The Spirit haven't even lost a wicket yet, what do you do if you're the Welsh Fire?

Brilliant shot. That is one thing I really like about Beth Mooney, she uses the angles extremely well.

That is a lovely shot from Beth Mooney.
She skips down the track, stays leg side to give herself room and scoops it over extra-cover.
And she follows that up with a deft touch, opens the face and guides it right past short third for four more.
Spirit 54-0
Target 120
A good set from Sutherland as she keeps the batters honest. A couple of yorkers thrown in the mix as well, never a bad option if you can execute it.
Just one run off the set.

I like the way London Spirit are using Danielle Gibson at the top of the order. They have made a slower start in previous games and I feel like today they have made the most of the power play with her at the crease.
She has also taken the pressure off Beth Mooney, who just is able to knock it about while Gibson takes the battle to Welsh Fire.

Spirit are cruising now. Only a wicket, maybe two, can slow them down.

Welcome back, Alex Hartley.
Gibson runs down the track and drills it over extra-cover.
The Spirit only need a run-a-ball now.
Spirit 47-0
Target 120
Beth Mooney seems to have had enough of watching all the fun from the other end.
She advances down the wicket and smacks one right back over the bowler.
Next delivery, they scamper back for a tight second run off an overthrow.

London Spirit have made a real quick start though there has been some wayward bowling by Welsh Fire. I've been very impressed with Danielle Gibson. She has sent the bowlers to all parts, especially down the ground.

Whew, that's been an eventful set.
When was the last time you saw a no-ball being called for a bouncer being over head height?

It was banged into the track and Gibson, with a tennis-like swat, chipped it straight to mid on.
The Fire were celebrating only to be cut short by the umpire who signalled it a no-ball for height.

Would you believe it?!
I was just about to say the Fire have made a crucial breakthrough but Gibson is coming right back as that's been called a no-ball.
Let me explain.

Danielle Gibson is taking the game on which is what I like. Sometimes with a smaller total you go into your shell but she wants to finish this quickly.
