That could be a bit of nerves. Probably her first game at Lord's and she was just trying to get off the mark.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 95 balls

Nicholas run out (Dean) 0 (Fire 109-8)

Hit straight to the fielder, Claire Nicholas sets off for the single, Lauren Filer at the other end doesn't, and that's eight wickets down.

It's all unravelling for Welsh Fire. Spirit firmly in control.

Amelia Kerr is so clever. She took all the pace off that one. She went around the wicket, changed the angle slightly and held it back in her hands to present an easy stumping opportunity for Mooney.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 94 balls

Carey st Mooney b Kerr 28 (Fire 109-7)

And there it is. Amelia Kerr gets her second and Welsh Fire's batting woes continue.

Nicola Carey had to go for it, as the last recognised batter, but is undone by a fine delivery from Kerr and Beth Mooney does the rest behind the stumps.

It's been very hard to get Amelia Kerr away today.

  9. Fire 109-6published at 93 balls

Lauren Filer does well, takes a single from the first ball to get Carey back on strike.

But Carey just can't get the next two away as Amelia Kerr heaps the pressure on.

A fine spell of bowling from Freya Davies.

She finishes with 3-24 from her 20 balls.

  12. Fire 108-6published at 90 balls

Nicola Carey has got to face as many of these final 10 balls as possible. Fire don't have the strongest lower order, so she will know her responsibility.

What can Spirit restrict them to?

She had to go for the big shot, it's that stage of the innings.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 87 balls

    George c Schutt b Davies 4 (Fire 107-6)

    Another one down.

Katie George tries to kick the scoreboard along but picks out the fielder. Fire are going to finish with a below par score here, by the looks of things.

If they get 135, they can fight with that. The Fire had a very good bowling performance last time.

  16. Fire 106-5published at 86 balls

Every run is a valuable commodity for Welsh Fire right now.

Nicola Carey smashes Freya Davies for four.

There’s a game of one hand one bounce going on below the media centre. It was briefly interrupted by a group of youngsters charging across the ‘pitch’ to chase Moeen Ali for a selfie.

I can confirm he stopped for every request.

  18. Fire 102-5published at 85 balls

Welsh Fire bring up their 100, but with only 15 balls left it doesn't look like it will be enough. The pitch has looked good for batting and the outfield has been fast.

Mooney probably had the worst seat in the house to tell whether there was any bat on that.
