  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 49 balls

    Bryce c Schutt b Kerr 33 (Fire 62-3)

    The pressure tells!

Sarah Bryce was playing nicely, but the two wickets just stalled her momentum. She tries to release the tension with a big shot down the ground but doesn't get hold of it and the fielder at long-on takes a simple catch.

Fire on the back foot again.

  2. Fire 60-2published at 45 balls

Grace Scrivens tightens things up for the Spirit with a tidy set of five that yields just four runs.

Fire need a few boundaries here.

Former England bowler on BBC Two

Width again and you can't bowl there to Green. Lovely timing to get it away.

  4. Fire 56-2published at 40 balls

A rare wide delivery from Davies and Maddy Green pummels it for four.

Spirit are back in the game, but Bryce and Green don't look like they're going to back down. Nobody wants to be the only team without a win!

  5. Fire 51-2published at 37 balls

Davies is going to bowl 10 in a row. Tough work that, for a fast bowler. Not for me.

Anyway, Sarah Bryce helps herself to four more as she looks prepared to counter-attack.

    Dane van Niekerk
Oval Invincibles & South Africa captain on BBC Two

It's a just bit frantic. There's some nerves out there so they need to calm it.

This is why The Hundred is so good. You're behind in the game and suddenly you get two wickets in a set and you're ahead.

  8. Fire 47-2published at 35 balls

Oh, nearly a run out! It's gone from very good to very bad for Welsh Fire in the blink of an eye.

Great set from Freya Davies and suddenly it's all London Spirit out there.

  9. Fire 46-2published at 33 balls

Welcome to The Hundred, Maddy Green!

In her first outing for Welsh Fire, she solidly defends the hat-trick ball.

If you could imagine a perfect delivery for a seam bowler at Lord's, that would've been it.

That is an absolute jaffa first ball. Brilliant line, brilliant length. Fantastic delivery.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 32 balls

    Sutherland b Davies 0 (Fire 46-2)

Two in two! A beauty from Freya Davies cleans up Annabel Sutherland.

Full, straight and just nipped back enough to sneak past Sutherland's defence, who looks absolutely baffled. Not much she could do with that but Freya Davies is on a hat-trick!

Brilliant bowling. Great time to bring a new batter in as well.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 31 balls

    Beaumont b Davies 19 (Fire 46-1)

    There's the breakthrough!

Freya Davies gets one to keep a bit low and beat the defence of Tammy Beaumont as it skids past her bat. An important wicket for Spirit to break that opening partnership.

  15. Fire 45-0published at 30 balls

Positive start for the openers against the spin and they'll know they've got to keep it going because the Spirit have some great batters.

    Issy Wong
Birmingham Phoenix & England bowler on BBC Two

Encouraging signs for the Welsh Fire, these two are respecting the good balls and putting the bad ones away.

    Moeen Ali

Brilliant power, she's gone down the wicket and smashed it over deep mid-wicket.

  18. 6 runs

    Fire 44-0published at 27 balls

New Zealand's Amelia Kerr is into the attack.

And she's smashed for six! It's a horrible full toss from Kerr, she gets away with the no-ball somehow but Sarah Bryce deals with it with disdain!

  20. Fire 38-0published at 25 balls

Oooh! Beaumont chips one up in the air, but just past the diving fielder and the ball trickles away straight down the ground for four more.

End of the powerplay and it's been a positive one for Welsh Fire.
