    Mandhana c Graham b Smith 0 (Brave 9-2)

Hello?! Now Smriti Mandhana has gone for a duck!

She has struggled for any fluency so far and her skewed drive goes straight into the hands of Heather Graham at mid-off.

Northern Superchargers are jubilant. Brave coach Charlotte Edwards has a face like thunder.

  2. Brave 8-1published at 95 balls left

Sophia Dunkley is the new batter and shows her intent with two lofted drives over the fielders in the circle for four.

An eventful first set to say the least.

Maybe not a great ball, but a great start for the Superchargers.

A terrific start from the Superchargers but it was a horrific ball. It was short and down the leg side. Danni Wyatt was looking to beat the fielder but picked her out perfectly.

    Wyatt c Russell b Higham (Brave 0-1)

Oh my word Danni Wyatt has gone first ball!

It was a horrible ball from Lucy Higham, short and wide. Wyatt tried to help it around the corner but can only hit the ball straight to Liz Russell at short fine leg.

    Thanks, Sam.

So, the Superchargers need to restrict Brave to below 100 in order to move ahead of Rockets and into third place. That looks a tough challenge given the strength of Brave's batting line-up. A few early wickets thought and you never know.

Don't forget Brave will guarantee their place in the final with a win.

Time for a change for us so I'll hand you over to Tom Mallows for the Southern Brave chase.

It's not only a question whether the Northern Superchargers win the game but whether they can restrict the Brave to few enough to give their net run-rate the boost it needs for them to make the top three...

Southern Brave bowler Amanda-Jade Wellington to Sky Sports: "The pitch seems like a belter. That felt like a good score but I back our batters.

"I am trusting my game. I have had a lot of preparation so to get game time is great.

We know they are going to go hard at us but I back batters with the depth we have got and I think it will be a good run chase.

"It would be massive [to quality directly for the final]. We have talked about it a lot but we have to get the runs first."

I think it is going to be very hard for Superchargers to restrict the Brave, which has such a formidable batting line-up, to 100ish on what looks a good surface, with a quick outfield and small boundaries.

But in terms of the game in isolation they have got themselves up to a decent total, not far above par.

  11. Superchargers 145-6published at 100 balls

Good running gets Smith two from the last ball of the innings. It's a competitive total but the rough calculations suggest that the Superchargers will need to keep the Brave to 99 or fewer to keep themselves in with a chance of progressing.

I say Bell had bowled pretty well but she gets this back-of-the-hand slower ball all wrong. It comes out as a full toss, above waist height, and Linsey Smith pulls it away for four.

It's a free hit, too. Bell comes back well and shows confidence in repeating the slower ball but nails it, completely befuddling Smith.

Lauren Bell has had a day to forget in the field but she's bowled well and will finish the innings off for the Brave.

That ball was travelling and could have taken Danni Wyatt back over the boundary with her.

But she has one of the safest pairs of hands in the game and is probably pound-for-pound the best fielder England have. That's excellent work on the deep mid-wicket boundary.

    Wolvaardt c Wyatt b Shrubsole 50 (Superchargers 133-6)

Brilliant catch from Danni Wyatt to end a superb innings from Laura Wolvaardt.

It's hammered away by Wolvaardt, the ball goes flat but Wyatt comes running around the boundary and plucks it out of the air. So good and she made it look simple. It was anything but.

  16. Superchargers 132-5published at 93 balls

Three in a row for Jenny Gunn! This time she swings it away leg side and the two fielders almost collide as they try to cut it off.

    Extremely useful runs from Gunn.

  17. Superchargers 128-5published at 92 balls

Wolvaardt can't do it all on her own and Jenny Gunn is doing her bit to help.

She thumps Shrubsole back down the ground for four to start the set and then gives herself room to power the next away through the covers.

That was an outstanding superman dive from Laura Wolvaardt and an excellent fifty.

She gave herself a few balls at the start to get used to the pitch and has reaped the rewards.

    Superchargers 120-5

Another superb knock from Laura Wolvaardt, a half-century from 34 balls as she dives to make her ground.

Seven boundaries in her innings so far, she'll need a couple more at least to bolster this Superchargers total.
