Alyssa Healy has followed a similar pattern that she has done all tournament. She has got off to a flying start but not managed to kick on.

Healy has crunched it to be fair but the ball has gone straight to Sophia Dunkley. It was a pretty straight-forward catch but it had a lot of venom behind it.

Big wicket. After getting a thick edge over short third for a boundary the previous ball, Alyssa Healy middles this one but it is straight to Sophia Dunkley in the covers.

A bright start from Healy but she's not able to kick on. That has been the story of her tournament, really.

Freya Kemp has a wicket in her first set.

I went out to have a look at the pitch earlier and it has a good even covering of grass. That is what you want to see as a batter or a bowler. It looks an absolute belter so hopefully it is a great surface for everybody.

It is a used pitch but that makes it all the more impressive as it looks in really good condition.

  4. Superchargers 15-0published at 15 balls

A tidy five from Adams, only three runs from it. One of them gets Laura Wolvaardt off the mark, the tournament's leading run-scorer is yet to get going.

Plenty of time for that, though.

We're going to have an early look at spin as Georgia Adams comes on to bowl.

  6. Superchargers 12-0published at 10 balls

Anya Shrubsole bowls the next set but offers too much width to Healy and that is carved away for another boundary.

A dot ball ends the set but Healy looks in the mood early on at Headingley.

That's a lovely shot from Alyssa Healy. That trademark inswing from Lauren Bell, it was just a little too much this time and Healy has played it off her hip and picked the gap in the field.

  8. Superchargers 6-0published at 5 balls

Swung away behind square. Healy makes it look easy as she hits the first boundary of the day, taking advantage as Bell strays slightly down leg.

Southern Brave have only lost one game in their history and that was last year's final. They are on a great winning streak again this year led by Charlotte Edwards. They are a very well-drilled side.

Their opening partnership is formidable. Smriti Mandhana is an exceptional talent, a classy operator. Then there's Danni Wyatt who adds a bit of flair.

They also have nine internationals in the side so they are very dangerous throughout and it is no coincidence they are top of the table.

  10. Superchargers 1-0published at 1 ball

Lauren Bell will bowl the first set for the Brave and there is plenty of swing in towards Alyssa Healy but the Aussie is able to turn to ball away for the first run of the day.

Here come the Southern Brave, led out by captain Anya Shrubsole. They'll be aiming to complete a perfect group stage.

It's five wins from five so far. Six from six will see them through to Lord's.

Northern Superchargers are out to stop that and with an opening pair of Alyssa Healy and Laura Wolvaardt, they're certainly in with a chance.

There have been some big victories this year so given how the tournament's gone, Northern Superchargers still have a chance of making the eliminator.

  15. Key battle: Who will fire up front?published at 11:25 British Summer Time 31 August 2022

Laura Wolvaardt is the leading run-scorer in the women's competition with 236 runs and an average of 78.66 in five innings.

The South African has been brilliant for the Superchargers, proving that classical cricket shots remain a key part of the game in the shorter formats.

Wolvaardt can sometimes start slowly but is more than capable of making it up as the innings progresses.

Meanwhile, England star Danni Wyatt has also had a fine tournament, scoring 162 runs in her five innings and boasting a strike-rate of 145.94.

Unlike Wolvaardt, Wyatt will go hard from the off and is capable of taking apart even the strongest of bowling attacks.

Which opener will come out on top today?

Northern Superchargers captain Hollie Armitage: "Ideally we'd have had a bowl first. We've got an eye on net run-rate and if we were chasing that is something we could control better but we're happy to bat first and hopefully put up a big total.

"I've had a nice restful night's sleep, it's not my job to figure out the net run-rate so hopefully somebody is figuring that out for us. We're ready to go in front of a home crowd and we're looking forward to it.

"This is the same surface that we played on against the Originals and we chased down 160 so we're happy to bat first and hopefully put on a big total."

  18. Postpublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 31 August 2022

Southern Brave captain Anya Shrubsole: "It looks like a really good pitch so we want to go out there and bowl and we have a good batting line-up to chase down some scores.

"It is a really happy camp. We've played some good cricket. We want to get a good victory here and go straight to the final and not down to Southampton [for the eliminator].

"We've got a really good balanced team. Everybody has clear roles. We have several matchwinners with bat and ball and it shows with different people stepping up all the time. Hopefully one of those steps up today."

  19. Brave win the toss and bowlpublished at 11:16 British Summer Time 31 August 2022

Anya Shrubsole calls right at the coin flip and asks the Superchargers to bat first.

    Both teams are unchanged.

  20. Welcomepublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 31 August 2022

We are at the business end of The Hundred with the battle to reach the knockout phase reaching its climax.

The last four group stage games take place today - two women's and two men's - with the last qualification spot in both the men's and women's competitions up for grabs.

We're starting at Headingley and the women's game between Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave.

The Superchargers need to win - and very convincingly - to overhaul Trent Rockets and keep their hopes of making the eliminator alive while the Brave can book their place in the Lord's final with a sixth win on the spin.
