Manchester Original captain Kate Cross: "We wanted to bowl because it is easier to control the chase. We'll know at half-time what we'll need and how quickly we need to do it. We've got to win well and play good cricket today.

"With it being a shortened tournament, it felt quite rushed at the beginning and losing a couple of games never helps you but we're still alive with one game to go.

"It's the same for the lads so it's must-win cricket for the Manchester Originals today."

Oval Invincibles captain Suzie Bates: "We're really fortunate that we've been able to rotate some of our overseas. Marizanne Kapp has been carrying a bit of a niggle but she's back today and has come in for Dane van Niekerk, which means I take over as captain.

"We have talked about focusing on us and what we need to do to win today. Looking at the surface, we think batting first is the best way for us to win today. Regardless of all the scenarios, we just want to play our best cricket.

"We've been really consistent with our bowling which has kept teams to under-par surfaces. Hopefully we can get a good score for them to defend."

Last time out Alex Davies hit a 43-ball fifty as they eased past the Trent Rockets.

As for the Superchargers they've had a mixed tournament but were dominant in a win over Welsh Fire in their last match.

Adam Lyth was the match hero, striking 47 runs off 34 balls.

One game down, three to go today as The Hundred group stages reach a thrilling conclusion.

In the women's tournament, Northern Superchargers ended Southern Brave's perfect record but the margin of victory was not quite enough to take them into the top three.

That leaves the door open for Manchester Originals, who host Oval Invincibles, to leapfrog Trent Rockets and snatch the final spot in the knockout stages.
