This is a huge part of the game. Shadab Khan is such an experience cricketer now and a huge part of Pakistan's attack.

Much better from Shaheen Shah Afridi, conceding just two singles.
There's a half appeal from the last ball as Milton Shumba has a rather ugly waft at a wide-ish ball, but it goes through to Mohammad Rizwan without a nick.

I know that Shaheen Afridi has had the knee issues but he is still so vital to Pakistan's hopes at this World Cup.
Pakistan are really fighting back well.
A brilliant stop at the point has fielders swarming into celebrate and congratulate their mate.
Decent powerplay for Zimbabwe too though.

We were half a centimetre out. Half a centimetre higher and it would have been umpire's call and not out.

That is a great appeal and a great review. Pakistan swing themselves right back into this contest.
Madhevere lbw b M Wasim 17 (Zim 43-2)
Oh, wow! It's hitting the top of off-stump. A great review.

It looks very high but he is stuck on the crease.

He's gone a long way across but it looks a bit high.
Is one about to become two?
Mohammad Wasim wants to have a look for an lbw shout - it looks high to me.

That's a very good catch going backwards and it's a brilliant bouncer from Haris Rauf.
Ervine c M Wasim b Rauf 19 (Zim 42-1)
Haris Rauf strikes!
It's a good, well-directed bouncer from Rauf, into the chest of Craig Ervine.
The Zimbabwe skipper tries to pull away, but a top edge loops to short fine leg.
Mohammad Wasim steadies himself, and takes the catch over his right shoulder.
Pakistan needed that.

I hope for Zimbabwe's sake that they can keep their heads and try not to up the ante too much because if they can keep wickets in hand and try to get to the 10th over, anywhere around that 80 mark is a great platform.
Glorious.
Zimbabwe have started really well.
Pakistan's discipline hasn't been great so far. Naseem Shah sends down two leg-side wides and lets out a huge scream in anguish. He slaps his cap against his leg after collecting it from the umpire.
No boundaries in the over though, which is a slight improvement at least.

Cut away with complete disdain by Madhevere.

I think that hit his bat and then went into his helmet. He's got a run for it anyway.
Madhevere 15, Ervine 13
This might be the first time I've seen Mohammad Wasim bowl. I've just asked the rest of the team if they know anything about him, and I'm told he was "fine" in the recent series against England. Glowing reference.
He entices an inside edge from Craig Ervine, and it just evades off-stump. He then forces Wesley Madhevere into a bit of a tangle, who ends up taking a blow on the helmet. He's fine to continue after a brief check though.
That proves it too as he cracks away to the point boundary. Superb shot.

We've seen good cricket from Zimbabwe, they've just put the bad balls away. We have seen good shots form one or two good balls but mainly it has been overpitched bowling and Zimbabwe have been able to hit through the line of the ball.
Zimbabwe couldn't have wished for a better start.
Better from Naseem Shah, targeting Craig Ervine's off stump.
The Zimbabwe skipper works the final ball of the over down to third to keep the strike.
