  1. Pak 28-2published at 6 overs

    Target 131

Iftikhar is off the mark with a boundary, muscling the ball through mid-wicket. The ball is superbly flicked back just before the boundary cushion and takes the cushion with him.

But the fielder backing up, swoops to pick up the ball and steps over where the boundary initially was so four is given. Not the smartest bit of fielding.

Still, at the end of the powerplay, you cannot overstate how impressive the Zimbabwe seamers have been.

I would say no because of the rain that is about. Normally I would say yes.

If we hypothetically fast forward to the end of the game and Pakistan have lost, does that mean their tournament is over?

  4. Pak 23-2published at 5 overs

    Target 131

Three runs and the huge wicket of Mohammad Rizwan in the over from Muzarabani.

The Zimbabwe bowler has played with Rizwan at the PSL, did a bit of inside knowledge help him out?

Either way, Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed have work to do for Pakistan.

The worm shows Pakistan are 19 runs behind Zimbabwe. Pakistan are 23 for 2 after 5 overs. At the same stage Zimbabwe were 42 for 1.

Zimbabwe have the two big wickets. We couldn't have another upset, could we?

That is a huge wicket. It was a great line and length and really challenged Muhammad Rizwan.

Credit to Zimbabwe, they have come out with great intent and have got their just rewards.

    Rizwan b Muzarabani 14 (Pak 23-2)

Chopped on! Zimbabwe are in this game!

Blessing Muzarabani holds a fantastic line again, just back of a length and Mohammad Rizwan gets an thick edge back onto his off stump as he tries to run it down to third.

Both openers gone and this relatively small chase suddenly looks that much trickier for Pakistan.

He's tried to sweep him there. It's extraordinary.

That is bad luck for Brad Evans.

  10. 6 runs

    Pak 20-1published at 4 overs

    Target 131

For a moment Brad Evans must have thought he'd added the wicket of Rizwan to that of Babar earlier in the over.

Rizwan tried to whip the ball leg side, got a big leading edge and the ball went a long way up. Wicketkeeper and short fine leg ran back to try and claim the catch but the ball carries all the way over the rope for six!

It straightened off the surface and it was straight to backward point.

It is the big wicket. Zimbabwe are right in this match.

  13. wicket

    Babar c Burl b Evans 4 (Pak 13-1)

Leading edge and caught at backward point!

It's a superb delivery from Brad Evans, on a decent length and just straightens a touch to take the edge as Babar tried to work it leg side.

The ball flies to backward point and it is a straightforward catch for Ryan Burl. Big, big wicket.

Will that get Babar Azam going? It's his first runs of the tournament.

  15. Pak 12-0published at 3 overs

    Target 131

Babar Azam is away - and in some style. He elegantly strokes the ball through the leg side for four.

He cuts the next ball firmly but it bounces up and is well stopped at point. No run. Pakistan's openers are just starting to stir though.

I am really enjoying this bowling display. It's been so impressive.

Zimbabwe have learned from how Pakistan started, they've just kept trying to hit the top of the stumps.

  17. Pak 8-0published at 2.4 overs

    Target 131

Run out chance! Rizwan drills the ball just to the left off mid-off and calls for a single.

The fielder attacks it, swoops and shies at the stumps. Rizwan dives to make his ground but he was gone if it had hit. So close for Zimbabwe.

  18. Pak 7-0published at 2.2 overs

Will this get Pakistan going? Too short from Ngarava and Rizwan wallops it over mid-wicket for the first boundary of the innings.

  20. Pak 3-0published at 2 overs

    Target 131

Babar is still waiting for that first run of this World Cup and he can be thankful that he's still there to try and get it.

He plays and misses again, this time off Muzarabani, who extracts a bit of extra bounce from the Perth surface. Just one from the over.
