    De Klerk c Jones b Lamb 4 (SA 232-6)

A superb take from Amy Jones and Emma Lamb has another!

It looks like a quicker ball from Lamb and De Klerk goes back, attempting to cut and gets a thin edge through to Amy Jones.

    South Africa folding now.

That extra takes the score up to 229 which means we've seen 600 runs today. In the history of women's ODIs there have only been four games which have had more than 600 runs as an aggregate.

Chloe Tryon is not giving in, she's going to be there for as long as possible.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Chloe Tryonpublished at 37.1 overs

    SA 228-5

Tryon sweeps Emma Lamb firmly to the boundary and that brings up a fine half-century.

She's batted brilliantly with Marizanne Kapp but she's got to be the senior player for the rest of this innings now.

Spin has done the damage today for England. It was the opposite for South Africa, England got after the spinners, but Dean has really been able to control the rate.

  6. SA 224-5published at 37 overs

    Target 372

Just the five from Charlie Dean's over and the mountain gets steeper and steeper for South Africa to climb.

It wasn't the best ball, it was short, it was wide. Kapp had to reach for the ball and slapped it straight to backward point.

We said it was doable for South Africa, now it's definitely not.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36 overs

    Kapp c Davidson-Richards b Lamb 62 (SA 219-5)

    No, they're not!

Emma Lamb recovers from her loose start and gets the big wicket of Marizanne Kapp! The batter just tries to give herself some room to hit through the off side but gets in a right tangle and cuts it straight to Alice Davidson-Richards.

She slams her bat against her pads in frustration but it's been another great innings from the gun all-rounder.

  10. SA 217-4published at 35.1 overs

Spin from both ends as Emma Lamb returns and drifts one down the leg side that Chloe Tryon steers it away for four through Issy Wong's legs.

Are England just showing a few signs of tiring?

That was probably the first half chance we've had in a while.

A little bit of fortune that it sailed over the head of Issy Wong.

  13. SA 213-4published at 35 overs

Heather Knight brings back Charlie Dean in search of a wicket.

And she nearly gets one, Kapp just chipping one up in the air but it just flies over Issy Wong's head.

  16. SA 207-4published at 34 overs

    Kapp 58, Tryon 38

Shotttt. Down on one knee, drilled through the covers for four.

Hold the pose, Marizanne Kapp. That was lovely.

The asking rate is more than 10 an over now, it keeps creeping up.

  18. SA 198-4published at 33 overs

A better over from Kate Cross concedes just three.

I've been sweating all day having done absolutely nothing but type on a laptop. I can't even imagine how hot they are out there.

It's definitely a watching cricket day rather than playing.

We're on umpire watch because they've been trying to stay cool all day. Sue Redfern has now gone for a bath towel, it's enormous. She started with a flannel but this one is absolutely enormous.

A nice partnership has formed but England will be aware that they're just one wicket away from really getting into the belly of the South African middle-order.

Heather Knight has turned to her two strike bowlers to trying get that wicket but so far Kapp and Tryon look comfortable.
