This will be a concern for England.

  2. Ind 143-3published at 29 overs

It's Kaur with a boundary, we've been waiting for that.

But oh no ... Capsey is down on the ground. Another injury perhaps?

Six per over would take India to 265. Eight per over would take them past 300. This is some platform.

  4. Ind 136-3published at 28 overs

    Kaur 25, Deol 24

    And captain Kaur is back!

It seems like an innings where India just can't seem to get the ball away but just as I say that Deol lofts the ball in the air for two runs.

India are slow and steady but can they win the race?

It's just evaded her thigh guard.

  6. Ind 128-3published at 28 overs

There was an appeal for lbw and Kaur is crouching down looking like she is in pain.

Gloves and helmet are off as the physio comes onto the field.

    Kaur doesn't look too good...

A little bit of pressure may just be building on Harleen Deol.

  8. Ind 128-3published at 27 overs

    Kaur 24, Deol 18

A few dots to start a new over from Lauren Bell.

But Deol is looking to increase her strike-rate and India finish the over with couple of runs and an applause around the stadium.

  9. Ind 126-3published at 26 overs

A good over from Cross only letting India add three runs to their total.

The hosts have applied the squeeze and will be fairly happy with the situation they find themselves in.

  10. Postpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 21 September 2022

We've not had a boundary for some time now.

But here's a smashing six from Smriti Mandhana earlier in India's innings...

  11. Ind 123-3published at 25.1 overs

    Thank you Sam!

    We're back in with Cross.

  12. Ind 122-3published at 25 overs

    Kaur 23, Deol 14

Halfway through the India innings and the game remains firmly in the balance.

Just three from Dean's latest. Another good one from the England off-spinner.

Time for a change now for us now. It's over to Aymen Babar to take you through the next phase of the innings.

Sophie Ecclestone has take the big wicket in the innings so far. Smriti Mandhana trapped lbw on the sweep for 40.

  14. Ind 119-3published at 24 overs

Much more like it from Ecclestone, just a couple of runs from the over as the left-arm spinner tries to improve her economy rate.

England's spinners are applying the brakes. Particularly Charlie Dean.

  16. Ind 117-3published at 23 overs

    Kaur 21, Deol 11

Superb over from Charlie Dean, mixing up her pace and making life difficult for the India batters.

Just one from the first ball before five dots in a row to end the over.

  17. Ind 116-3published at 22 overs

Sophie Ecclestone has been unusually expensive so far, despite that wicket of Mandhana, and the over starts with a boundary for Kaur. It's another late cut that beats the fielder at backward point.

However, even with Ecclestone not at her best, India are giving England chances with some less than convincing running. Twice in the over, Deol would have been gone with direct hits.

The second of them came as she turned to go back for a second run that was simply never on. The stumps did light up with her short of her ground but that was just Amy Jones bumping into them before she collected the throw. Deol needs to be careful, though.

I don't think Harleen Deol is used to coming in this early.

You just feel this is an opportunity for England to squeeze which they are doing. There's seven fielders inside the circle.

  20. Ind 108-3published at 21 overs

Deol has started well and gets her second boundary with a late cut, just guided to the boundary cushion.

Dean responds well, really tempting the batter with a flighted delivery that Deol tries to drive but doesn't get hold of that. That was the definition of giving the ball some air.
