The series may have gone but this is still a really important game for England because points are on offer for the next World Cup cycle. If they lose the series 3-0 India will take all the points and England will be on the back foot for the rest of the year.

The worm shows England are three runs behind India. England are 71 for 7 after 18 overs. At the same stage India were 74 for 4.

    Target 170

Amy Jones is the second England batter to reach double figures and then pushes on that bit further by carving the ball past backward point for four.

England need 99 more to win.

Jhulan Goswami's spell is over after just the one over. She wasn't able to add to her solitary wicket so far today. Alice Capsey slapping a long hop to cover.

    They all count.

A really tame dismissal. It was there to be driven through the covers but it has gone off a thick outside edge and looped to point.

It shouldn't be a wicket-taking delivery, but it was.

    WICKETpublished at 17 overs

    Kemp c Deol b Sharma 5 (Eng 65-7)

Oh dear. Floated up outside off stump by Deepti Sharma, Freya Kemp couldn't resist going after it and a thick outside edge balloons to Harleen Deol at backward point.

India are closing in on a 3-0 series win.

Speaking of which, Arjun, here is Thakur bowling Dunkley through the gate.

This was a beauty, to be fair.

Arjun Singh: I think England’s women can take one thing out of this game: “we must practice facing balls aimed at the stumps coming back in at us. Oh, and spin”.

It is looking tricky out there.

  9. Eng 61-6published at 16 overs

    Target 170

Too short from Goswami and Jones pulls it powerfully past mid-on for four. Very, very useful for England to end the over.

Meanwhile, we mentioned that only three India batters reached double figures in their innings. So far only Emma Lamb has done so for England...

It's not going to get any easier for England. Jhulan Goswami is back into the attack.

  12. Eng 55-6published at 15 overs

    Target 170

As well as India have bowled, this has been something of a horror show for England. They've collapsed in a heap.

Amy Jones is still there. Can the England captain - with the help of Freya Kemp - get them out of this mess?

England have lost six wickets for 26 runs. They were 27-0.

That is a brilliant catch from Jhulan Goswami. She is tall with a wide stance so has a long way to go down.

Ecclestone goes for a duck - yet another duck in this game.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Ecclestone c Goswami b Gayakwad 0 (Eng 53-6)

Smart catch from Jhulan Goswami at slip.

Sophie Ecclestone goes back to Gayakwad, tries to punch the ball through the off-side and gets an outside edge. The ball goes quickly but straight into the hands of Goswami.

Cleanly taken and England's woes continue.

  16. Eng 53-5published at 14 overs

Superb yet again from Thakur. It's a made and she's now bowled seven of her allotted 10 overs.

England are going nowhere in a hurry.

Ecclestone never left her ground. She did look entirely unfazed as it was sent upstairs. That's why.

Has Ecclestone left her ground? If so it will be one of the more remarkable dismissals you will see in world cricket.

  19. Umpire reviewpublished at 13.2 overs

This really would sum it up for England's batting today.

We're going upstairs to check for a run out after Harmanpreet Kaur, very close in at mid-on, dives across to stop an Amy Jones drive and then takes the bails off.

Surely Ecclestone was back in her ground? We'll see.
