Batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore is the big winner from Trent Rockets' draft.

The destructive batter did not agree another year with Northern Superchargers after a decent debut season and, like Joe Clarke at Welsh Fire and Liam Dawson at London Spirit, is a domestic player who has been snapped for big money after entering the draft.

New Zealand international batter Colin Munro joins the Rockets having been let go by Oval Invincibles while domestic batter Ian Cockbain and bowler Luke Fletcher, who last year both played for Welsh Fire, also join.

Oval Invincibles entered the draft with three overseas spots to fill and, despite failing to agree terms originally, have used their right-to-match card to retain West Indies spinner/big-hitter Sunil Narine.

Their other free spots were further down the pay brackets with lots of domestic talent already retained.

Former South Africa batter Rilee Rossouw joins for £60K and Australia international all-rounder Hilton Cartwright £50K. Both are likely to be available for the full competition and replace Tabraiz Shamsi and Colin Ingram - the Invincibles overseas players last year.

Spinner Danny Briggs joins after he was let go by Southern Brave, bowler Matt Milnes has been signed after a year at Welsh Fire while Kent batter Jack Leaning gets his first Hundred deal.

Trent Rockets have signed Australia's World Cup-winning captain Meg Lanning. That means Nat Sciver, Katherine Brunt and Lanning, who was originally due to play for Welsh Fire in the Hundred but pulled out because of Covid-19, will all be at the same team.

Lanning will bring her Aussie leg-spinner Alana King, who was so impressive in the Ashes and T20 World Cup, too.

Elsewhere, Mignon du Preez, the South Africa international, moves from Manchester to the Rockets.

Domestic players Bryony Smith, Sophie Munro, Alexa Stonehouse and Georgia Davis join too.

Will Manchester Originals improve on their disappointing first season with this revamped squad?

In 15 minutes the signings made by Trent Rockets and Oval Invincibles will be announced.

In the men's competition there are some trends already.

Domestic players are going for big money - like Joe Clarke, Liam Dawson and Laurie Evans.

Teams also seem to be thinking carefully about which overseas players will be available in the tournament with lesser names, those who are good but just not quite in their country's XI such as Sean Abbott or Riley Meredith, getting deals.

Northern Superchargers bowler Alice Davidson-Richards on her side's overseas players: "I’m pretty stoked about them to be honest! On the weekend I was planning to go to sleep and then wake up to watch the second half of the final but I ended up staying up to watch Healy smash it to all parts so that was unbelievable.

"When they fire, they are unbelievable and it’s going to be great to watch and be on their side instead of bowling at them. I’m very happy I only have to do it in the nets!"

The signings of Jenny Gunn, an England veteran no longer in the international fold, and spin-bowling all-rounder Lucy Higham may not be as eye-catching as other teams but in fairness to the Superchargers they have already done some top recruiting.

South Africa batter Laura Wolvaardt, fresh from tearing up the World Cup and Alyssa Healy, who broke records in smashing 170 in the final against England, had already been retained.

So too has India's Jemimah Rodrigues, one of the stars of the Hundred's first year.

The Superchargers also have two spots left to fill.

Manchester Originals' women have done OK so far, I reckon.

After the Trans-Tasman takeover at Lord's, they have snatched West Indies international Deandra Dottin.

New Zealand batter Amy Satterthwaite, one of the best in the world, joins for her first taste of the Hundred too while Ami Campbell and Phoebe Graham make the controversial move across the Pennines from Northern Superchargers.

19-year-old Central Sparks bowler Grace Potts has been signed too by a team that already features Sophie Ecclestone, the best bowler in the women's game.

Jos Buttler may not be a new signing but given he's now out of the England Test team he could feel like one.

He'll now likely be available for every game of The Hundred.

He could win the title on his own. Hasaranga is fun too.

Are the Superchargers trying to build a title-winning team or fill a retirement home?

The trend of adding West Indies all-rounders to your squads continues at Northern Superchargers where Dwayne Bravo comes in.

Overall the Superchargers have clearly focused on experience in their foray into the draft.

In addition to 38-year-old Bravo, they have also signed 36-year-old Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz, 37-year-old Roelof van der Merwe who did not agree terms with London Spirit for another season and 37-year-old former England all-rounder Luke Wright.

Top-order batter Adam Hose, a relative kid aged 29, is signed after a season at Birmingham Phoenix.

Manchester Originals have set about reworking their men's squad after a disappointing sixth-placed finish in 2021.

They released all three of their overseas players and have replaced them in the draft with West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell, Sri Lanka leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga and Australia bowler Sean Abbott.

Russell, or Dre Russ as he is known, is one of the biggest T20 stars in the world. Hasaranga took a hat-trick at last year's T20 World Cup and recently went for big money in the IPL while Abbott is a solid overseas bowler who the Originals will hope is around for the full campaign.

The OGs have also spent big money - £125,000, in fact - on Surrey batter Laurie Evans. He failed to agree a deal at previous club Oval Invincibles and gets a big pay rise.

Australia-born bowler Dan Worrall, who currently plays for Surrey, also joins as a domestic player thanks to his British passport.
