That concludes proceedings for this evening's live text commentary with the seven-match series squared at 1-1 after two played.

There were a few records broken, by the way. My colleague Matthew Henry has thumbed his way through the books and captured the best of them in his report which you can read here...

Check out the scorecard here too, if you like.

We'll back tomorrow afternoon with coverage of the third T20 from the National Stadium in Karachi. The match starts at 15:30 BST and we'll be live for the toss half an hour before then.

    Bye for now.

  2. 'They became unstoppable'published at 19:19 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

England captain Moeen Ali: "I thought it was a really good score. The pitch didn't do as much as we thought it would. We batted well and the first 10 overs we bowled okay. We dropped a big catch as well. The momentum went their way when I bowled my over. They had the momentum and after that they were unstoppable.

"We played really well. Ben Duckett's partnership with Phil Salt was fantastic and it really gave us the platform. We got a good score in the end in my opinion. I'm really pleased with the way we batted. The wicket was difficult to read. We have a lot to work on but they played really well. They're brilliant players."

Haris: I think Pakistan are better at chasing bigger targets than smaller ones! Reminded me of the one we chased against South Africa. Babar's century and Rizwan's support.

  5. 'It wasn't our day'published at 19:10 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

Adil Rashid, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "I thought we did well to get 199. I think as the game went on we got better with the bat. All credit goes to their openers, though, they played shots and had a massive partnership.

"The ball did come on a bit more in the second innings but they did play very well. Our plan was to take wickets and I thought we were still in the game at 120-0 with new batters but it didn't happen. As I said, all credit to them or the way they batted. Liam Dawson bowled very well to go for 20-odd, but it wasn't our day as a bowling unit and that's the way it goes sometimes.

"The young guys got the chances here. Harry Brook and Ben Duckett both came in and scored well. We know what other guys like Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone and Jos Buttler can do and they are destructive players as well

"We will stay true to ourselves and try to bounce back in the rest of the series. When batters get on a roll momentum can go against you. If you take catches it's a different ball game."

Adam: Fair play to Babar and Rizwan who obviously played brilliantly but with the exception of Liam Dawson that was a truly appalling bowling performance from England - no thinking or planning and line and lengths all over the place!

  7. Postpublished at 19:02 British Summer Time 22 September 2022

Mohammad Rizwan was brutal. He punished anything in his hitting range, was busy in the crease and aggressive from the outset.

The run map shows Mohammad Rizwan scored 88 with 4 sixes, 5 fours, 8 twos, and 28 singles for Pakistan

I felt as though 160 would have been a good score and tricky to chase down.

Both bowling attacks will go away and have a look at things. Will they change their length? Also, we can't forget Alex Hales dropped Mohammad Rizwan on 23.

It was an eye-catching innings from Babar Azam. He really led from the front with his second century in T20 internationals.

The run map shows Babar Azam scored 110 with 5 sixes, 11 fours, 4 twos, and 28 singles for Pakistan

Wow, just wow. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have really showed why they're the number one and number two batters in the world in this format.

It's been sensational batting from these two. Wonderful, free-flowing, exciting. England have been thumped. A bizarre game of cricket.

He takes his helmet off and looks to the sky, before hugging a sweaty Mohammad Rizwan.

An amazing chase from Pakistan, and the crowd lap up every moment.

  18. Pak 197-0published at 19.0 overs

17 runs from that Luke Wood over and Pakistan need three from six to seal a quite brilliant victory by 10 wickets.

  19. Pak 194-0published at 18.5 overs

A half chance for Moeen Ali as he sticks a paw up to a clothed slog from Mohammad Rizwan off Luke Wood. England needed that to stick.

  20. Pak 192-0published at 18.4 overs

Not what England need at this stage. Back-to-back wides from Luke Wood.

    Eight runs from eight balls.
