As the players take a drink, Scott's tweet had given us an idea.

Scott Easby: Don't know about Cookie, but Marcus Trescothick would be licking his lips opening for a team playing BazBall.

There's not much encouragement for Abrar Ahmed out there as Ben Foakes blocks out another maiden.
Foakes hasn't played a lot of cricket lately but will need to play a supporting role here to allow Harry Brook to do his stuff at the other end.

It's a long way off but if Brook gets a hundred here you might say it's his best innings of the tour so far.

The Barmy Army trumpeter has kicked into action, a sign that things have settled down a bit after that Ben Stokes run out.
The England fans who have made the trip have certainly enjoyed themselves.

England are playing in a very different way to what they have been.

Whenever Abrar Ahmed drops too short he is punished. Harry Brook is onto it in a flash again and pulls the ball away to the boundary.
England are playing sensible cricket here. Punishing the bad balls but not taking too many risks. Proving that there's more to Bazball than aggressive hitting.

Alastair Cook is an out and out winner. He walks into any England team. He'd be perfect for this side. Set a base whilst the other players slap it round.
Kempy - Bromley
It was absolute carnage in Brisbane earlier this morning as Australia claimed victory over South Africa inside two days of the first Test as 19 wickets fell on the second day's play.
Resuming on 145-5, Australia were bowled out for 218, before dismissing South Africa for just 99.
Captain Pat Cummins took 5-42 and Mitchell Starc 2-26 to leave Australia needing 34 runs to win.
The hosts chased down their target in 7.5 overs, despite pace bowler Kagiso Rabada's 4-13 on a green pitch.
It is the first two-day Test in Australia for 91 years.

It's not easy to score at the moment, even for Brook who has a half-century.
That's a good question.
Cook is not an obvious fit for 'Bazball' but the best players are able to adapt their game, so would he not be able to do so?
Meanwhile, Harry Brook has played two delicious drives off Mohammad Wasim Jnr for four. He is looking in great touch.

Millington: Post-lunch debate for the team. Does arguably our greatest ever player, who scored 12,472 runs in 161 matches, Sir Alastair Cook, work in this current England side based on his scoring pace and style of play?

England are trying to rebuild tentatively.
That's a bit of a shocker by umpire Joel Wilson. Ben Foakes got nowhere near the ball before it hit the pad and looped up to short leg. The ball was not going on to hit the stumps either so there's no lbw.
An easy decision to overturn for third umpire Marais Erasmus.
Ben Foakes has been given out caught at short leg - but Foakes is convinced he hasn't hit it and immediately reviews.
That is well timed, though.
It is too short again from Abrar Ahmed and it keeps very low, with Ben Foakes pushing the ball through the covers and away for four.
England trail by 146 runs
Not the cleanest of shots but England will take it. Ben Foakes opens the face and guides the ball down to third man with just enough power to get it over the rope.
England slowly rebuilding at the moment.
I think that sums up just how close this match is.

England are halfway to Pakistan's score and have lost the same amount of wickets.
