  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 72.2 overs

    Wasim c Robinson b Ahmed 2 (Pak 211-9)

    As simple as you like.

Rehan Ahmed just tosses one up a little wide to Mohammad Wasim Jnr, who lobs the ball straight to Ollie Robinson at mid-off for a routine catch.

Ahmed is eyeing a five-fer on debut.

  2. Pak 210-8published at 72 overs

    Pakistan lead by 160

Mohammad Wasim Jnr is the new batter and he digs out a fuller delivery into the on-side and runs two to get off the mark.

A short leg and silly point then come in - you know what that means. Mark Wood bangs in two bouncers but Wasim takes evasive action and ducks well underneath them.

That's a brilliant review from England, it was worth the gamble and it was brilliant bowling from Wood.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 71.2 overs

Nauman lbw Wood 15 (Pak 208-8)

Nauman Ali didn't hit it - and DRS shows it was going on to hit middle and leg!

A great review by England. Mark Wood has a huge smile on his face. He has toiled hard with little reward today until now.

We don't think he hit it...

  6. England reviewpublished at 71.2 overs

Mark Wood goes fuller this time that straightens on Nauman Ali and smacks into his pads.

Umpire Joel Wilson turns down the appeal - but England review.

  7. Pak 208-7published at 71.1 overs

That was so close to a brilliant take by Ollie Pope! He is back in a silly point as Nauman Ali fends off a short delivery from Mark Wood and Pope, diving full stretch, just cannot take it before the ball hits the turf. Unlucky.

England are just trying to chip away here. We know Abrar will play a few shots at No. 11.

  9. Pak 208-7published at 71 overs

    Pakistan lead by 158

Ollie Pope is back on the field and back into silly point.

Ben Stokes is busy directing traffic once more, seemingly changing the field for every ball.

Pakistan's lead is crawling up to 200, which you think is the minimum target they will want to try and defend.

Charlie Dean's reaction to being 'run out at the non-striker's end' was top class and showed maturity beyond her years. In tears but to walk up to the Indian team and shake hands, no remonstrating, respecting the umpire's decision. Not sure many others would have done that.

You don't often see this. The captain Ben Stokes has brought himself in to short leg. Is it so he can have a little chirp in Nauman Ali's ear?

Ollie Pope, who usually fields in that position, has been off the field and is waiting on the boundary to come back on, so this may only be a temporary experiment.

Wood tests out Nauman's defences and he passes the test, doing well to drop his hands and avoid gloving a short delivery through to Joe Root at first slip.

Time for a bit of seam - here is Mark Wood. He has steamed in without much reward so far today. But he has the chance to clean up the Pakistan tail here.

Just had an MRI scan. The nurse asked if I'd like some music during it to drown out the noise. She looked a bit surprised when I requested TMS, but duly delivered and I enjoyed hearing about Rehan's 3 wickets in a scanning tunnel!

The only thing Pakistan will have with them, and England have against them, is that England will be aggressive and could get bowled out.

    Nauman 14, Salman 15

Dragged down again from Rehan Ahmed and Salman Agha is in no mood to let him get away with it, playing a lovely whippy cut shot away for four.

    The lead is now 156.

  16. Pak 200-7published at 68 overs

    Woah, steady on Nauman!

Joe Root gives this some air and tempts Nauman Ali into a expansive drive. The ball then spits out of the rough and flashes past the outside edge.

Root tries to rush one through a bit quicker and it turns into a bouncer that sits up perfectly for Nauman, whose miscued pull has just enough to go over mid-on's head and Pakistan run two.

There's half an appeal from Rehan Ahmed at the start of the next over as he beats Nauman Ali's defences. But the ball was almost certainly drifting down leg so there was never any thought of an appeal.

Ben Stokes is mixing things up here. Joe Root is back into the attack.

  19. Pak 195-7published at 66 overs

Jack Leach vigorously twirls the ball in his fingers before skipping in to bowl to Salman Agha, finding the inside edge and the ball squirts out into the on-side.

You can't keep your eyes off this at the moment.
