It is seam at both ends now as Faheem Ashraf enters the fray.

After the early fireworks England have been a little more watchful against the seam bowlers, just the three singles off this over.

Whether England do this tonight could come down to the light, though it would be fitting if they once again secure victory in the Karachi gloom 22 years on.

I have a feeling that The Ashes is going to be the best ever. I can see the Aussies trying to match us with a bit of OzzBall.

  3. Eng 64-0published at 7 overs

Perfectly timed from Ben Duckett as he clips the ball off his pads through square leg for four. It wasn't that bad a delivery, maybe slightly on leg stump. Just exquisite timing.

It is time for some seam as Mohammad Wasim Jnr comes into the attack.

I'm not sure England will change their approach too much.

This approach is totally relaxed from England. There's an air of resignation from the Pakistan side.

  6. Eng 58-0published at 6 overs

    Target 167

This flying start has really knocked the wind out this Pakistan side, they look utterly deflated.

Another lovely drive from Zak Crawley brings up the England 50. The next ball he goes on the charge and lofts the ball over mid-on and away to the rope.

    Nauman Ali looks utterly bamboozled.

    England need 109 to win.

That's a lovely delicate paddle shot from Zak Crawley, he almost caresses the ball fine around the corner and away for four. Shows you don't just have to smash it as hard as possible to get it to the rope.

We have just seen a shot of Ben Stokes sat on the England balcony with a huge smile on his face. And well he might, his side have once again been superb today.

3-0 New Zealand. 1-0 India. 2-1 South Africa. May clean sweep Pakistan in Pakistan for the first ever time. Is this the greatest non Ashes year ever for an England captain?

    Tom from Crowthorne.

  10. Eng 41-0published at 4 overs

    Target 167

Ben Duckett brings out the reverse sweep again as he hammers a full toss from Nauman Ali away for four, England's eighth of the innings and we are only in the fourth over.

England then decide to deal in singles, chucking another three runs on the pile.

It's pretty insulting. England are toying with the Pakistani bowlers.

This is Stokes' philosophy. There's no point in hanging around.

  15. Eng 34-0published at 3 overs

    This is incredible.

England are playing T20 cricket again as Ben Duckett smashes Abrar Ahmed back over his head for four, before a pre-meditated reverse sweep fizzes into the off-side for a single.

Zak Crawley clearly has an early dinner date as he smashes back-to-back boundaries.

Pakistan look a little stunned, they seem incapable of stemming the flow of runs. I can barely keep up and I'm only typing.

This is just remarkable stuff from England. Ever since Rehan Ahmed came into the attack and took three quick wickets.

  18. Eng 21-0published at 2 overs

Ben Duckett gets a rather fortunate single with a pull that smacks straight into Abdullah Shafique at short leg. That will have hurt.

A paddle sweep from Zak Crawley brings three, before another hefty sweep from Duckett adds another single to the score.

  19. Eng 12-0published at 1.3 overs

Ben Duckett is itching to get a piece of the action too as he clubs Nauman Ali away for back-to-back boundaries.

    England are in a hurry.

It's the old umpire's call three metre rule again that saved Babar earlier today.

Zak Crawley had come way down the pitch and it has saved him.
