New Zealand are subsiding.
Kerr b Gardner 21 (NZ 51-4)
They are in even more trouble now.
You can't blame Amelia Kerr for having a go, she had little choice. But this was an ugly swipe across the line that brushes off the bat and into the stumps.
Kerr goes for an enterprising 21 from 30 deliveries.
Sophie Devine reviewed this lbw decision straight away, but her confidence was misplaced and it left New Zealand in all sorts of trouble,

This is brilliant batting from Amelia Kerr.
She's hitting the ball in different areas and showing innovation.
I love it.
Amelia Kerr has taken the handbrake off - she has just clubbed Tahlia McGrath for three successive fours, including an outrageous ramp shot over the wicketkeeper, to bring up the New Zealand 50.
Given the match situation why not?

That is not one that Maddy Green will want to see again. She knew it was going to be tight so why didn't she bring out the dive?
We've spoke about net run-rate and New Zealand probably have to concede at this point they aren't going to win but they have to get as close as possible.
Green run out (Harris) 8 (NZ 38-4)
It is out - just! A brilliant throw by Grace Harris gave Tahlia McGrath a simple task of removing the bails with Maddy Green just millimetres from her ground!

There's nothing over the line for me there.

This could be very close because it was a good throw.
Ooh, is Maddy Green struggling here? It was some rapid work in the field by Grace Harris.
This could be tight.

We are starting to see developing what could be a massive game for New Zealand against South Africa on Monday, but even if they lose that game they have the two supposed easier games against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to come, while South Africa will still have Australia to face.
It could definitely come down to net run-rate.
Megan Schutt got Australia off the the perfect start, but this was a pretty rotten shot from Suzie Bates.
Target 174
Alana King is varying her pace and length to try and outfox the New Zealand batters but they do well to nudge and nurdle ones and twos.
Eight off the over, which is good but not enough you'd think.
Australia are definitely in the driving seat...

That has to be catch of the tournament so far then because diving forward are hard to take.
Bernadine Bezuidenhout looks pretty cheesed off as she takes her seat on the New Zealand bench.
Maddy Green is the new batter. She has a big smile on her face, despite the desperate situation facing her side.

Bernadine Bezuidenhout has been hard done by there for me.
It was a 10/10 piece of fielding in terms of effort but we've seen those, time and time again, being not out.
Where has the evidence come from to give that out?
Daniel Norcross

That just goes to show that the soft signal really does count for nothing.
That surprises me because of the replay we saw that bounced. It could be off the fingers but the evidence we saw didn't suggest it was definitely out.
Bezuidenhout c Brown b Perry 14 (NZ 26-3)
It is a stunner! Some replays looked like the ball had bounced as she took the catch but whatever replay the third umpire is enough to give it out.
Bernadine Bezuidenhout is out just as she was starting to look in good touch.

Darcie Brown has just said she's not sure, and for me, I think you tend to know if you've taken the catch.
