That would have been one of the catches of the tournament from Georgia Wareham. She dived full length and did well to get a hand on it. Any other side in the competition we would have said 'fantastic effort' but with Australia they will be disappointed to drop it. That's the standards they set for themselves.

  3. dropped catch

Luus dropped on sixpublished at 15 overs

    SA 92-4

Things have slowed down for South Africa. Captain Sune Luus is dropped off Annabel Sutherland's first ball.

It's hit towards backward point and Georgia Wareham gets her hands on it mid dive but it falls through. Unfortunate for Australia.

I still don't think South Africa are in too bad a place here if they are able to go through the gears.

Jason: The way South Africa are playing so far I'm wondering if England have made a mistake beating India .. will they end up playing them in the semi?

Considering how things are going now Jason, I think England should worry about Australia.

South Africa are falling into a heap here.Georgia Wareham is a great bowler to have in this situation. They are facing quite a rebuilding job from here, and they don't have a middle order which really strikes fear into you.

They are quite good, aren't they?

  10. wicket

    Tryon c King b Wareham 1 (SA 77-4)

Goodness me, maybe this is the collapse.

It was a high full toss on off stump by Georgia Wareham and Tyron hits it to Alana King at mid-wicket.

Exactly what happened in Georgia Wareham's last game as well. A rubbish ball to start and wicket second ball. That gripped in the surface ever so slightly. Are we going to see South Africa collapse like we have so many times from this position?

  12. wicket

    And another!

Leg-spinner Georgia Wareham ball hits the outside of leg-stump and South Africa's best player so far, Tazmin Brits, has to go.

We said this would be the perfect for Marizanne Kapp, but she's on her way for zero. Kapp got herself into a terrible position looking to drive through the covers. When you drive you have to get in line with the ball.

  14. wicket

    Marizanne Kapp departs!

It was full from Darcie Brown and Kapp gets an outside edge straight to wicketkeeper Beth Mooney.

South Africa skipper Sune Luus comes in.

You don't want to bowl short balls to Marizanne Kapp. You want to go full and straight. Kapp has struggled throughout this tournament so it's not a surprise to see Meg Lanning placing herself at slip.

  18. drinks break

    Drinks breakpublished at 10 overs

We have the first six of the day and it's from Tazmin Brits!

Annabel Sutherland bowls a slower ball, Brits gets under it and hits it high over long-on.

It's 11 from the over and South Africa are in a good place. Time for a drink. Brits will need it after that six.

Laura Wolvaardt is done by a great delivery from Ellyse Perry. Wolvvardt is expecting a short wide delivery and tries to cut, but it is too close to cut. It nips back and she tickles it into the gloves of Beth Mooney.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9 overs

    Well that didn't last long.

Laura Wolvaardt was expecting another short and wide ball but it's full from Ellyse Perry, Wolvaardt gets an edge and Beth Mooney takes a catch!

Alex Hartley was right, could this be the collapse?

    Here comes Marizanne Kapp.
