It's been a bit criminal this start from South Arica to be honest. You cannot get yourself into a position like this. You've got to be able to hit singles if you can't find boundaries.

This was the first misfield in this innings. Megan Schutt's face says it all...

What were we saying?! A shocker of a misfield from Grace Harris at short fine leg allows Tazmin Brits the streakiest of fours.

The Proteas have hit two boundaries in this innings and both have been fielding errors.

There are still only five runs from this Ellyse Perry over.

Having watched Australia up close for the past couple of weeks, they are superior in many ways but it's mostly noticeable in their fielding.

They are sublime, they stop everything and they are all supremely fit and athletic.

Ellyse Perry won them their semi-final with her boundary fielding and they pride themselves on it. England and India are not too far behind in the batting and bowling, but the Aussies are miles ahead of any other team in the field.

This is like that join the dots game at the moment.

Australia are giving nothing with the ball.

This is a great start from Australia. They have total control already. Games like this can be won or lost in the powerplay.

Each member of this Australia team is impressive but I reckon Darcie Brown might top a most impressive list. To break into this all-conquering side as a teenager? A remarkable effort.

She starts by conceding just two runs.

Time for South Africa to worry? Not just yet...

It's not unusual for South Africa to start slowly. They do have some big hitters down the order.

Time for a bit of pace from the relentlessly impressive 19-year-old Darcie Brown.

A great over from Australia, just two from it. That's a win for Australia, the run-rate is now above eight per over.

There's the tiniest bit of the ball clipping leg stump. The original decision stands.

There were just two runs from the over after all of that.

I think it might be umpire's call. Wolvaardt was deep in her crease.

The crowd falls quiet as spinning all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner begins the second over with three dot balls in succession. It's certainly going to be a nervy afternoon.

The last ball brings a big appeal for lbw against Laura Wolvaardt but it looks to be turning too much. Meg Lanning fancies another look.

A misfield from an Australian? Really?

Still, it feels tense now. South Africa can sense their opportunity but also that they have a huge job to do.

Laura Wolvaardt and Tazmin Brits were so important in beating England, with a 96-run opening stand. They don't score particularly quickly but the platform was the key to kicking on later in the innings.

It's a fascinating stage of the game.

Sloppy from Tahlia McGrath at mid-on as she stumbles towards a mistimed drive from Wolvaardt. The all-rounder should cut it off but misses and the ball trundles on to the boundary.

Cue loud cheers in the stands.

Jack: 157 runs for South Africa to win there first ever World Cup , and for it to be the women's team to do first, how amazing that would be. I think they could just do it.

South Africa need 157 to upset Australia and win the World Cup for the first time.

South Africa have only chased 150+ five times before. And of course, they've never beaten Australia.
