Glam v Glos 17-1
Any notion of BazBall making its way into the county game has gone out the window in Cardiff.
Gloucestershire have scrapped away 17 runs in the first 16 overs.
But as Alastair Cook said preseason, ultra-attack is rarely possible in county cricket, especially in April.
Chris Dent the man out for the Glosters.
Lancashire v Surrey 146-4
Surrey's batting was their strong point on their way to the title last summer as it was so hard to run through their order.
Here is another excellent example of that as Jamie Smith and Ben Foakes have batted for nearly 90 minutes since lunch.
Both are in the forties and have now seen leg-spinner Matt Parkinson introduced into the attack.
Sussex v Durham 98-0
No messing about whatsoever from Alex Lees at Hove.
Henry Crocombe drops short and he dismissively sends it to the midwicket fence.
That is 52 off 55 balls with nine fours. Very Bazball!
Middx v Essex 102-2
Tom Westley, 26 not out, and Dan Lawrence, 36, are nicely into their work now and bring the 100 up for the visitors
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 136-7
Hampshire can scent blood here.
A second dismissal for James Fuller as Liam Patterson-White thinks about leaving but is too late and gets a touch through to the wicketkeeper.
With batting bonus points not available until 250, that looks a long way off right now for Notts.
Kent v Northants 27-2
Five balls later and Kent have a second!
Sam Whiteman’s Northants debut lasts only three balls.
The Australian falls over one from Matt Quinn, can’t get his bat across in time and his middle stump goes cartwheeling.
Derbyshire 61-2 v Worcestershire
Worcestershire strike for the second time in successive overs as Brooke Guest gets a slight inside edge and is bowled by Joe Leach.
Leach's first wicket of the season - and his 55th in 12 games since giving up the captaincy.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 130-6
It should be two in two balls for James Fuller, but Liam Dawson puts down a straightforward chance at second slip to send Liam Patterson-White on his way.
Any criticism by non-pros should be tempered, however. Slip catching on a cold April day is not an easy job!
Kent v Northants 26-1
This is why Michael Hogan didn’t want to retire just yet.
Full of length, he catches Hasan Azad on the knee roll.
He hasn’t really got forward but was that doing enough to shape back and catch the off stump?
Either way, Kent have their first.
Derbyshire 54-1 v Worcestershire
First wicket of the day at Derby, as new Worcestershire signing Matthew Waite, on at first change, makes the breakthrough in his first over.
Haider Ali is gone for 22 off 24 balls.
Brooke Guest is next man in.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 130-6
Joe Clarke's dogged resistance is broken.
He feathers one behind off James Fuller and he falls three short of a day one 50.
Hants now have a second bonus point.
Lancashire v Surrey 127-4
Jamie Smith crunches Luke Wood through the covers for four - his sixth boundary of the innings.
Ben Foakes then grabs up a single to bring up the half-century partnership.
It has come off 97 balls - hardly a revolutionary run-rate - but very important in the context of the innings.
Derbyshire 50-0 (6.5 overs)

BBC Radio Derby Sport
Derbyshire off to a flier after being put in to bat by Worcestershire.
Haider Ali raced to 17 with a couple of glorious cover drives and Billy Godleman joined in, reaching 26 off 17 balls as the home side posted 50 in only the 7th over.
They went to 50 with a Godleman drive off the 40th ball of the innings.
Yorkshire 186-2 (36.1 overs) v Leicestershire
April showers were forecast in Leeds - and off they come.
Fin Bean on 82 and Dawid Malan on 51.
82 put on for the third wicket so far, in 16 overs.
The Tykes are ticking along nicely - and wil be frustrated at having to come off.
If you enjoy listening to the sound of rain coming down, then keep the Yorkshire commentary on. Theyve kept the effects mic on.
It's strangely comforting!

Yorkshire 186-2 (36 overs) v Leicestershire
Dawid Malan hoists his first - and no doubt not his last - fifty of the season.
Durham 45-0 v Sussex
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio Newcastle
After a gloomy, damp morning Sussex put Durham in following the delayed toss. And so far, so good for the visitors.
Stand-in skipper Alex Lees and fellow opener Michael Jones have put on 45 so far.
Lees is in charge of the side because Scott Borthwick picked up a hand injury in pre-season.
Durham have given debuts to Australian spinner Matt Kuhnemann and former Kent keeper Ollie Robinson. England U19 skipper Ben McKinney is also playing in his first championship game.
Australian fast bowler Nathan McAndrew is making his debut for the hosts, too.
There were 75 overs left in the day when play began, with the scheduled close meant to be around 6.30pm, if the weather and the light hold.
Kent v Northants 5-0
Finally on at the St Lawrence.
Hasan Azad and Ricardo Vasconcelos opening for the visitors.
Lancashire v Surrey 108-4
The flagpoles are rattling on a blustery afternoon at Old Trafford, but it has kept the rain away for the time being.
Ben Foakes has been kept in check, but when Will Williams drops short and wide, he helps himself to a welcome four.
Glam v Glos 4-0
Hover cover fixed. Rain blown away. They’re finally back out again at Sophia Gardens.
