Middx v Essex 136-2
First break of the season for Vicky sponge at HQ.

Some rain around Lord’s as well.
Derbyshire 152-3 v Worcestershire
New Derbyshire skipper Leus du Plooy gets a life as he is put down at backward point by Jake Libby.
It denies Joe Leach a third wicket.
Former Derby skipper Wayne Madeen is on 49.
Lancashire v Surrey 196-5
The end of the second session in Manchester and it's one that has belonged to the Champions, and Ben Foakes.
He's not out on 55 and has batted through the session as Surrey have added 111 for the loss of only Jamie Smith.
Lancashire v Surrey 192-5
This is a real arm-wrestle at the moment. Some would call it proper Championship cricket.
Scoring is just above three, the bowling decent and real application from the batting side, and Ben Foakes in particular.
He has been joined by Cameron Steel, who has added 23 so far in a partnership of 28.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 185 all out
And with the fall of that final wicket, tea is being taken.
After a 20-minute break, Hampshire will begin their first innings.
Kent v Northants 62-5
What a catch!
Firm drive from Josh Cobb low to the bowler’s left boot.
Grant Stewart gets down superbly to take an absolute beauty.
Northants in big bother now.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 185 all out
Tom Moores, on 48, knocks one into the legside and sets off. He gets the first and goes for a second, but Dane Paterson is short at the non-striker's end after a fine throw from Felix Organ.
A good effort from Hampshire after losing the toss to knock Notts over for under 200.
Mo Abbas the undoubted star with 6-49.
Derbyshire 138-3 v Worcestershire
Billy Godleman goes for a lively 70 off 61 balls, to a good take from Ben Gibbon.
The former Derbyshire skipper hit three sixes in that, all off Joe Leach, two of them back over his head.
But Leach has the last word.
Kent v Northants 52-4
Kent now firmly in charge with a wicket for Grant Stewart.
Rob Keogh squared up and nicks a good length ball behind.
Durham 141-1 v Sussex
Martin Emmerson
BBC Radio Newcastle
This has been a great start for Durham, especially having been put in after a damp and dreary Hove morning.
Alex Lees played aggressively for his 79, hitting 14 boundaries in the process. But, with tea on the horizon, he was bowled by George Garton.
Earlier Michael Jones was dropped in the slips by Garton, off Henry Crocombe. He now has 51.
The lights are on and there are some pretty dark clouds around, in between the odd burst of sunshine. Tea is due at 3.50, as the day's play didn't begin until 1.30.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 181-9
A sixth wicket for Mo Abbas!
Luke Fletcher chips one tamely to Felix Organ at midwicket and is on his way.
The big man will soon have the ball in hand surely.
Yorkshire 186-2 (36.2 overs) v Leicestershire
Tea is now being taken in Leeds as the players remain off following the sudden rain break which forced everyone off just before half past two.
Just 9.2 overs in the session. But 59 runs added.
Umpires Ben Debenham and Paul Pollard are due to make an inspection at four o'clock.
Sussex v Durham 137-0
Despite playing second fiddle to Alex Lees, Michael Jones has now brought up his 50 with an easy single off Jack Carson.
This has come off 90 balls with seven fours, and has helped put his side in an excellent position.
Durham are flying - no doubt about it.
Lancashire v Surrey 165-5
Ben Foakes gets a single off Matt Parkinson to bring up his half-century.
He needs runs to keep nudging the England selectors, so this is a very good start to the summer.
Hampshire v Nottinghamshire 173-8
Olly Stone had been providing some useful lower order resistance but that is over.
Mohammad Abbas is brought back into the attack and needs only one ball to send Stone back to the hutch as he edges to Ben Brown.
An outstanding opening day for Abbas - that's 5-45 for him.
Lancashire v Surrey 164-5
Would you believe it? Jamie Smith has been strangled down legside!
He had been looking so assured and his frustration is palpable as he trudges off.
A second success for Tom Bailey, albeit one he would not have expected.
Middx v Essex 121-2
113 balls and seven fours for the former England bat and he has a very welcome start to the summer.
Tom Westley still with him on 31 and Essex going very well after losing the toss.
Derbyshire 105-2 v Worcestershire
Billy Godleman. hits a 50 in his first game for Derbyshire since giving up the captaincy to Leus du Plooy.
One six and six fours. Off just 42 balls. More Billyball than Bazball!
With Wayne Madsen having joined him, it's two ex-Derby skippers together
Lancashire v Surrey 162-4
A ninth four of the innings from Jamie Smith is enough to bring up his half-century, steering one from Tom Bailey down through the legside.
This has been an excellent contribution so far from the 22-year-old.
Kent v Northants 43-3
Another for Kent and Luke Procter falls cheaply in his first innings as captain.
It’s a total stinker as well as he flicks Joey Evison straight to midwicket.
First Kent pole for Evison as a permanent Kent player - he joined from Notts on loan midway through last season.
