    Ahmed c Mehidy b Shakib 2 (Eng 182-9)

Long hop but smashed straight to mid-wicket!

It's been Shakib's day and he has earnt that bit of luck. It was a really poor ball, Ahmed climbed into it but Mehidy Hasan takes a sharp catch, low down.

That's 300 ODI wickets for Shakib. He is the first Bangladesh bowler to that milestone.

No sense of panic from the England batters yet, both Woakes and Ahmed will back themselves with the bat.

And that's why! Woakes goes deep in his crease and cuts the last ball of Mehidy's over away for four.

    Eight from the over.

  3. Eng 174-8published at 39 overs

Need another 73 from 66 balls

Two dot balls to end the over as Rehan Ahmed is unable to beat the fielders in the ring.

Taijul Islam finishes his 10 overs with figures of 2-52, including the all-important scalp of Buttler.

    Rashid b Taijul 8 (Eng 174-8)

Adil Rashid is bowledImage source, Reuters

Quicker ball from Taijul and Adil Rashid loses his off stump as he attempts to heave the ball leg side.

It was a touch short from the left-arm spinner but it's not a good shot from the England man.

Bangladesh are closing in as Rehan Ahmed walks to the crease. He can bat and now is a good time to show it...

  5. Eng 170-7published at 38 overs

Need another 77 from 72 balls

A couple of very nice shots whipped into the leg side by Adil Rashid but England still only manage four from the over.

Dew is starting to become a factor and that usually benefits the batting team so the visitors do have that to cling to.

  6. Eng 166-7published at 37 overs

Need another 81 from 78 balls

Bangladesh are putting the squeeze on and England's required rate is gradually trending upwards.

After Woakes' two from the first ball, Taijul restricts them to just a single from the next five.

I'd expect them to get Liam Livingstone in there as well, Joe.

Plus, I'm sure there will be talks with Ben Stokes about tempting him back to the 50-over format...

My World Cup XI: Roy, Bairstow, Malan, Root, Brook, Buttler, Ali, Curran, Rashid, Wood, Archer. Then I would have Hales back up opener, Duckett back up batsmen, Jacks back up spinner, Woakes back up seamer.

  9. Eng 163-7published at 36 overs

Need another 84 from 84 balls

Just three from Mehidy's over and it is up to a run-a-ball required. Usually not much of an issue towards the end of an innings.

But with seven wickets down, there is very little margin for error for England.

  10. Eng 160-7published at 35 overs

Need another 87 from 90 balls

Very good over from Taijul, only two from it and the crucial wicket of Buttler.

Adil Rashid - he of 10 first-class hundreds and hitting in unusual areas fame - is the new batter for England.

Three reds, it was pretty plumb but, in this situation, Buttler had to review on the off chance...

It was an attempted reverse sweep by the England skipper and once he missed it, he was in big trouble.

He's hit in line with off stump and the ball was going on to hit middle and off. Huge wicket for Taijul Islam.

Big moment in the game as Jos Buttler is given out lbw.

It looks very close but he reviews. Perhaps more in hope than anything else...

Buttler glances the ball off his pads and past short fine leg for three to start Mehidy Hasan's over.

Just two more singles come from it as Woakes struggles to rotate the strike.

Jacob Wadsworth: Moeen Ali won't be dropped from this XI, especially so close to a World Cup, & rightly so. Experience will be pivotal, especially in India where he's had success in the IPL.

Another very tidy over for Bangladesh, Taijul has done a good job for the hosts since coming back into the attack.

England need 5.52 runs an over now, Buttler is scoring a touch over a run-a-ball so if he stays there, it should remain manageable.

  17. Eng 150-6published at 32 overs

    Target 247

The 150 is up for England as Buttler punches Mustafizur's last ball through the covers for one.

It is a good over from the left-arm seamer, though, as he shows off his variations and keeps England to just three from the over.

England totally underestimate Rashid’s ability with the bat in the sub continent. When top order have fallen early then perfect for the middle overs to help build a 50-60 run partnership at 5 an over with 1’s & 2’s. Should have come in ahead of Ali and Woakes & left the power hitters for the last 50 runs/10 overs.

Woakes gets lucky with a leading edge that springs out into the off side - at a very catchable height - but into the gap for a single.

Next ball, Buttler gets down early for a delicate reverse lap that is pulled back just shy of the boundary cushion. Three.

Time for drinks. It's still anybody's game.
