Thank you for joining us. It was a disappointing result for world champions England but it's a chance to reflect on what went wrong.

If you missed any of the action you can read my colleague Ffion Wynne's report here.

That's all from us today. We'll see you next time. Until then, farewell.

  2. Mustafizur's over 'changed the game completely'published at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan: "We were really good in this T20 series. I thought we fielded exceptionally. That has been one of the major changes. If we look at the World Cup next year, we can build from here.

"We knew we had to bowl well and the bowlers would have to stick to their plans.

"That over [Mustifizur's in which he dismissed Malan and Buttler was run out] changed the game completely and changed the momentum. Mustafizur has done an unbelievable job for this team."

England's captain Jos Buttler: "Really disappointed but congratulations to Bangladesh. They deserved their victory.

"We came back well and missed some opportunities in the field which is disappointing in this game. I thought it was a good score to restrict them to but that didn't happen.

"It's really poor and I'm really disappointed in myself for not diving in the field, it cost us the game."

Mark Burt: Given their position, this is so poor from England. Very few batters making a case for a place in the World Cup team and as for Duckett, he’s had a shocker!

  8. 'England were one batter short on this trip'published at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2023

Former England captain Nasser Hussain on Sky Sports: "The days of where we vilify people for not playing England are over. The goalpost have changed. All the guys playing franchise cricket are getting better at cricket because the standards are so high. It's a difficult thing to manage. England were one batter short on this trip."

England's winter ends with a loss.

It was worrying when Phil Salt was out for a duck but England made a good recovery. Dawid Malan and Jos Buttler had a strong partnership that helped England gain momentum but after Buttler's wicket, Bangladesh was able to get back in the game.

England were poor in the field too. There were dropped catches, mis-fields and fumbles in the field. Bangladesh capitalises on England's mistakes, hitting wide balls for four and making ones into twos. Their efforts proved fruitful in the end.

Pathetic from England. Bazball is great, but what is the point of travelling around the World with a team of 4 specialist batsmen in any form of the game. Ali, Curran, Woakes and Jordan are hardly going to bat us to victory (and that is being kind to them), so why bother even turning up with such an unbalanced team.
