Gareth: Didn't we win the world cup a few months back? Certainly doesn't seem like it...
Followed by a glorious lofted drive over the covers for four!
Jordan responds with some sharp bounce that clatters Litton Das on the helmet. He's fine, but we'll have the mandatory concussion check.
Still a profitable over for Bangladesh and England are in trouble.
Short, and punished.
Chris Jordan takes the pace off but the length is all wrong and Litton Das gratefully pulls for four.
Moeen recovers well, just a few singles coming off the last four balls.
There's a bit of confusion as Shanto pulls out of his crease because he mistakes the square leg umpire for an England fielder.
They are all wearing red shirts, in fairness.
First of the day!
Shanto is not going to let Moeen Ali settle in to his first over. He skips down the track to his second ball and launches it over long-on.
Nice.
Das 40, Shanto 5
Curran does well, executing his yorker perfectly so that only a single is managed from the free hit.
I'm glad that over is done - it took forever.
And now a drinks' break. Perfect.
Now there's a delay as Jos Buttler and the umpires have a bit of a debate around field changes for the free hit. I think.
Oh, lovely.
Litton Das just opens the face of the bat and helps himself to four more with a deft touch past backward point.
And a bit more sloppiness from England as Sam Curran oversteps and gifts Shanto a free hit.
And then the free hit is a wide. Let's try again.
Hmm.
I've not seen England field this badly in a long while.
Rashid the culprit this time as he dives over the ball at short third and it races away for four.
Nine from Rehan Ahmed's over. Frustrating.
Three runs and the wicket from Adil Rashid's third over.
What a precious commodity he is for England.
Talukdar c & b Rashid 24 (Ban 55-1)
Finally the breakthrough!
Reward for Adil Rashid, whose variations were proving very difficult to pick. Rony Talukdar goes for a sweep, gets a top edge and it pops up back to the bowler who takes the simplest of catches.
Talukdar swipes his bat in frustration but it's a solid innings, and that partnership has given Bangladesh a decent platform.
Jos Buttler gives Rehan Ahmed a chance to redeem himself immediately, as he's on for his first over.
He starts well, beating the edge a couple of times with his tricky variations, but another Ben Duckett misfield on the cover boundary gifts Litton Das four more from the final ball.
A tougher chance, but England pride themselves on their fielding and that should've been saved.
Archer responds with a 92mph delivery that beats Rony Talukdar's outside edge, venting his frustration.
Certainly not England's finest hour in the field after Duckett's misfield and the dropped catch. After that, it looks like a very decent powerplay effort from the hosts.
Ban 44-0
Oh. Even worse.
The simplest of chances is put down by young Rehan Ahmed at short third as Archer's extra pace draws a false shot from Rony Talukdar.
Literally straight in, and straight out again. Archer has his head in his hands.
A shocker.
Oh, poor.
Talukdar heaves a Jofra Archer short ball over mid-wicket, where Ben Duckett misfields and allows the ball through for four.
He had to cover a fair amount of ground but he got there, and it should've been saved.
Talukdar attempts a reverse sweep but misses, the ball staying ridiculously low.
One over to go in the powerplay, and Bangladesh will be delighted if they can get through it unscathed.
Shot! Litton Das premeditates a sweep and nails it straight to the square leg boundary.
Pressure on Adil Rashid early.
As ever, the masterful Jofra Archer is able to get something out of a pitch that nobody else can.
He gets some sharp bounce to nip back at Rony Talukdar and clatters him on the glove. Good luck playing that.
But Litton Das responds with a swipe over the covers for four.
Bit of spin, bit of bounce, and two wides chucked in just to keep Bangladesh guessing.
Here we go.
I said it'd be sooner rather than later, so here's Adil Rashid.
