  1. Aus 183-5published at 58 overs

Ollie Robinson replaces James Anderson and he gets the crowd on their feet with the third delivery of his over.

A cross-seamer has Cameron Green tentatively waggling his bat a little uncertain, for a moment at least, of the location of his off stump.

The final ball of the over sees Green take a brisk single off a low full toss. Ben Stokes had a shy at the stumps but Usman Khawaja gets home.

    Australia need 98 to win.

I said England to win by 12 runs this morning.

Whatever happens we know this finish is going to be tight.

It’s deathly quiet up in the press box. Just the gentle tapping of keys.

  4. Aus 181-5published at 57 overs

All too easy for Australia to milk singles at the moment.

Would Ben Stokes be better off with a few more close fielders to encourage Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green to play over the top?

The fifth ball of Joe Root's over is quicker and spits off the of the turf, forcing Aussie all-rounder Green to jam his bat down to defend his stumps. That got Jonny Bairstow excited.

I'm not panicking until the runs required gets below 100. Am fully expecting 3 wickets before that happens. You heard it here first!! COME ON ENGLAND!!

There's just been a little shift in tone. It feels like Australia have got into the groove.

  7. Aus 180-5published at 56 overs

Sedate and comfortable for Australia as Usman Khawaja adds another single to the total by carefully guiding a back-of-the-hand delivery from James Anderson round the corner.

The final ball of Anderson's over is a half-volley - or turned into one at least - and Cameron Green confidently belts a lofted drive down the ground for four.

Joe Root limbering up for a bowl.

You can tell Moeen Ali is just adjusting his bowling because of that pain from his finger.

    He is still going though.

  12. Aus 173-5published at 55 overs

    Target 281

A game of cat and mouse between Moeen Ali and the Australia batters.

Moeen tosses his first delivery to Cameron Green up and he drives it through the covers for three valuable runs to the Australia total. That was controlled.

Usman Khawaja smothers the spin, before he nurdles a single off the final ball of the over.

  14. Aus 167-5published at 54 overs

The perennially agitated James Anderson, grumpily starring at the turf, continues from the Pavilion End to Cameron Green.

The tall Aussie all-rounder stoops low to defend his stumps to keep out Anderson's first three balls before he drops on to back foot and beats the dive of Ben Duckett to pick up a couple of runs.

Green then gently dabs the final ball of the over it for a single to keep the strike.

This game is still so delicately poised with Australia needing another 117 runs and England requiring five wickets.

To take you through the next passage of play it is over to Timothy Abraham. Wickets, please...

  17. Aus 164-5published at 53 overs

    Target 281

Moeen Ali gets away with a short ball to Cameron Green as it turns back sharply and the batter can't get it past mid-off.

He does next ball but the very straight long on fielder, Harry Brook, is round to keep it to a single.

Moeen ends the over with a very wide deliery that Usman Khawaja.

The Australia opener just keeps going. A 22nd Test half-century comes up from 143 balls after gloving a pull shot down to fine leg for a couple.

He is the big wicket for England now, even if he isn't scoring particularly quickly. Khawaja has been composure personified in this Test match.
