Higgins edges Sanderson wide of the slips and runs a single. Zaib picks up the ball on the third man boundary. Over.

Keogh bowls - and that's the innings!

Helm is down the pitch to the off spinner, misses a leg glance and that's an easy stumping from Lewis McManus.

Keogh finishes with 3-52. Higgins is left high and dry on 64 not out.

Middlesex lead by 58 and an uncomfortable session of play awaits the Northants top order.

    25 overs left tonight.

  2. ouch!

Finch suffers injury at Worcesterpublished at 16:49 British Summer Time 11 July 2023

    Yorkshire 369-7 v Worcestershire

Worcestershire look like being a bowler down for the final session as Yorkshire home in on a 400-plus total.

Fast bowler Adam Finch, fresh from taking two Tykes wickets, had to be helped off by Pears physio Andy Powell after hurting himself as he stretched high to try and claim a catch at midwicket.

  3. Postpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 11 July 2023

    Somerset 500 v Hampshire 29-1

It took him 17 balls but Nick Gubbins is finally off the mark with a straight drive for four off Jack Brooks.

He gets another boundary with an edge past the slips off the next delivery.

Fletcha Middleton has 14 at the other end and E. X. Tras has six already as Hampshire seek to recover from their nightmare start.

  4. wicket

WICKET Madsen c Karvelas b Carson 51published at 16:45 British Summer Time 11 July 2023

    Sussex 402 v Derbyshire 143-3

We said all those nice things about Wayne Madsen and look what he's done!

The Derbyshire batter tries to smash Jack Carson over mid-wicket, but slices to deep extra cover where Ari Karvelas takes the catch.

Madsen cannot believe what he has done and holds his bat in a vertical position against his helmet as if in prayer to some obscure cricketing deity before leaving the middle.

  5. Postpublished at 16:43 British Summer Time 11 July 2023

    Durham 270-4 v Glos 316

It's a little gloomy here at the Riverside ground but we're fine to continue.

Lees clips Akhter away through wide mid on for three.

We've got a pause in proceedings as the umpires have decided to change the ball - in the 61st over.

    Sussex 402 v Derbyshire 142-2

He may be heading in the direction of his 40th birthday, but Wayne Madsen certainly knows a thing or three about batting.

The Derbyshire right-hander tucks Jack Carson round the corner and then sprints back for a second to reach yet another 50, this one from just 55 balls.

What a servant to Derbyshire cricket he has been over the years.

Three wickets since tea have earned Worcestershire a second bowling point at New Road.

Two for Adam Finch, who trapped Jonny Tattersall leg before wicket and had Matthew Fisher caught behind, either side of George Hill being caught at the wicket to earn Josh Baker his first wicket.

Seven scalps in the day for Worcester is a good recovery.

    Somerset 500 v Hampshire 0-1

    Jack BrooksImage source, Getty Images

Wow. Jack Brooks has bowled Joe Weatherley with the first ball of the innings.

The opener was late forward and off-stump is uprooted. Brooks celebrates with a 100m circuitous sprint around the outfield chased by his teammates. He's a character, that guy.

Nick Gubbins is in to face the second ball. Fletcha Middleton is at the other end.

Henry Shipley has taken both wickets to fall, but this looks a very true batting surface
