That was very well run!
That was one of the biggest cheers of the day.
Josh Hazlewood bowls a bouncer to James Anderson but as Alex Carey jumps to take it above his head England scamper through for a quick bye.
This is how Stuart Broad fell a few moments ago.
A five-fer for Josh Hazlewood, but I doubt he will look back in it too fondly.

Honestly, I have never seen an Australian side look so lost and that's in any format of the game. This Bazball can really hurt teams. I they know they have 10 wickets to protect or it could be an innings defeat.

After being pumped for six Mitchell Starc goes fuller for the rest of the over.
The final ball is overpitched though and Bairstow flicks into the on-side wide of a diving Steve Smith for four.

What a stroke from Bairstow! That's how you answer the field, just hit it over their heads.
Jonny Bairstow pulls Mitchell Starc away for an effortless six to bring up his half-century.
Bairstow looks in the mood.

Bairstow will just go ballistic now while Jimmy holds up an end.

Cheers for James Anderson as he sees off some short-pitched deliveries from Josh Hazlewood.
Mitchell Starc will continue at the other end with Jonny Bairstow on 49.

Good to see that Australians without any real plan, they are waiting for the declaration

James Anderson is coming out to a great applause here, it's a lovely sound.
There's a huge cheer for No.11 James Anderson.
Will this be his last Test innings on his home ground?
Broad c&b Hazlewood 7 (Eng 526-9)
And now he is out.
Stuart Broad goes for a ugly heave but can only top-edge the ball into the air and Josh Hazlewood claims off his own bowling.
That's a five-fer for Hazlewood, but his lack of celebration says it all.

Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
I'm glad England are still batting because I want Australia to bowl England out, not a declaration.
Australians don't want rain because it makes it really difficult for them to win this match.

Broad is full of improvise and innovation.
I think England have enough now to have a bowl and Stokes is prone to declaration but it's early in the day.

Why am I getting nervous at the lack of declaration and the weather shows rain all weekend - does Ben know something we don't know.

A colleague has just suggested that half an hour of Stuart Broad could be fun and I'm inclined to agree. He begins the over by stepping away from Mitchell Starc to give himself room and lofts the ball over the covers or two.
Four more runs completes another productive over.

I think we’re playing this just about right. There’s enough in this pitch to panic the Aussies here, and conditions turn back to our favour when we bowl.

England are absolutely bossing this game now. It's such a shame the weather is part of the question here.

This shows that England are batting with intent here.
