There was some suggestion earlier in the series that England had the best of the luck. I'm not sure anyone would say that now!

Three more runs chipped off the deficit by Australia.

    It's down to 48 now.

The partnership between Pat Cummins and Steve Smith is worth exactly 50 now.

    Double change for England.

    Mark Wood replaces Stuart Broad.

    Ughhh.

A wide ball from Chris Woakes tempts Pat Cummins in but he gets a thick inside edge on it.

It evades the stumps and runs down to fine leg for four more.

    Grim ball. Grim shot.

This is a dangerous partnership. Pat Cummins, who started the series batting well, is ending it well with the bat.

    Three singles off Stuart Broad.

We are getting a change at James Anderson's end. Chris Woakes is coming on.

It is very bright but there is a very ominous-looking cloud to our left. It looks dangerous.

A single each for Steve Smith and Pat Cummins off James Anderson's latest over.

    I don't think we're far away from a change.

Harsh to blame Bairstow for that non run-out. I'm guessing all the people piling in on him have never kept wicket before!

Ooh, genius or lucky from Pat Cummins?

Stuart Broad follows him with a shorter ball but the Aussie captain is able to guide/dab/edge/steer for four.

It didn't look pretty but effective for Australia.

Australia now trail by 65. A small partnership, Pat Cummins knows how important this next wicket is.

The new ball hasn't brought loads of movement for England.

It does draw Steve Smith into a play and miss off James Anderson, but he's soon back into the groove, crunching a pull away for four.

I don't disagree with the unrest about Bairstow's keeping. But I think he's getting a rough ride for the run out. If he doesn't knock the bails off early, Smith is in anyway! The bail doesn't leave the middle stump until Smith is in his ground.

    Missing leg stump!

A double survival for Pat Cummins.

Ben Stokes is absolutely shocked. He's stood there, hand covering his mouth. He's perplexed.

Joel Wilson has very, very slowly given Pat Cummins out.

Is it lbw? Or is it caught at slip by Joe Root?

    Who knows.

    Pat Cummins is reviewing.
