I've not seen Woakes bowl better than this.

But this has been a positive start for Australia, the runs are coming at a decent lick now.

  2. Aus 251-3published at 69 overs

    Target 384

    Another play and miss!

It's Travis Head this time, on the back foot, attempting a big drive. The ball fizzes past the bat again. Surely, it is only a matter of time before Chris Woakes finds the edge?!

A firm on-drive from Head ends the over, Moeen Ali can't really go all out to chase it so the ball trickles to the boundary.

I think Australia have to try and get the single against Woakes, that's the only way to play against him.

Smith has done this quite a lot in this series, he launches himself into a huge shot. Woakes is a real danger for Australia, he just has that skill level.

  5. Aus 246-3published at 68.1 overs

    Target 384

    Play and a miss!

Steve Smith tries to hammer a drive back down the ground but late swing from Chris Woakes takes the ball past the outside edge. Very close!

That was a brilliant save from Joe Root.

Australia get eight off the over without the need for any big shots.

It might have been nine but for a diving stop from Joe Root after the ball flicked off Travis Head's pad and ran away toward fine leg.

  8. Aus 238-3published at 67 overs

    Target 384

Maiden to start from Chris Woakes.

England still need seven wickets, Australia still require another 146 runs and the second new ball is now 13 overs away.

Moeen Ali will start from the other end.

That was a typical Woakes delivery.

  10. Aus 238-3published at 66.4 overs

    Target 384

Beauty! Chris Woakes gets the ball to jag away from the right-hander, Steve Smith has a nibble at it but the ball whistles past the edge.

One last Jerusalem from the England fans begins...

  12. Aus 238-3published at 66.1 overs

    Target 384

We're off! Chris Woakes comes in and bowls wide of Steve Smith's off stump.

The Australian batter lets it go through to Jonny Bairstow. There was a bit of swing for Woakes, though.

Boos from the crowd because we've got another delay. Someone is moving behind the bowler's arm.

It's no surprise Chris Woakes is bowling, he was incredible this morning.

Right then, here come England to loud cheers from The Oval crowd.

Stuart Broad is bounding out there for the final session of his Test career. Can he deliver one more of his devastating spells to take England to victory?

We'll have to wait to find out. Chris Woakes will bowl the first over after the rain delay.

England need to get Smith out. Head can also be dangerous too, he's always looking to score boundaries.

Joe Root is another spin option for England and he's out there warming up as well.

With... Ben Stokes. The England captain is also bowling some off-spin.

The suggestion is that is in case the light prevents England bowling their seamers.

That said, Stokes is bowling a few seam-up deliveries now.

There's plenty there for Moeen Ali. The ball that Ben Stokes dropped was spinning.

If Moeen can get one then he can easily go bang, bang, bang.

The England players are out warming up and we've got the revised playing conditions.

There are 52 overs left in the day and the last hour will begin after 37 overs or at 18:00 BST, whichever is latest.

(Spoiler: it will start after 37 overs)
