Moment of the series? Easy, Jonny Bairstow run out incident. Fired England up and shame it didn’t happen earlier in the series.

In my opinion, and especially after Broad's retirement announcement, my absolute favourite moment was when Broad got Labuschagne and Warner in consecutive balls after he did his crowd wind up. You have to love that.

If Moeen Ali's groin injury allows him to bowl a substantial amount of overs today, how important is he going to be for England's victory hopes?

Best Ashes moment - unpopular opinion, but surely Marnus’ 100 in the last Test has got to be up there? Without that England could have gobbled up the Aussies in 3 days making it 2-2 going into The Oval Test.

Weather update and session times, please, so I can schedule meetings during lunch or tea or when there's a threat of rain! I don't want to miss out on the glorious finale to this amazing series. With the new harder ball, we'll take both the openers in the first hour and England to win by 70 runs. Who says no!

  8. 'Australia are favourites'published at 08:36 British Summer Time 31 July 2023

At this stage, England certainly won't mind who takes the wickets but batting coach Marcus Trescothick said it would be "brilliant" for Stuart Broad to have "one more fairytale".

"One to win or two to win and he runs in and gets his last five-fer... something like that would be brilliant wouldn't it?" said Trescothick.

"We don't quite see the fairytales that we want to see at times but it would be lovely to dream of it."

But former England captain Michael Vaughan told BBC Test Match Special that Australia are now favourites after their strong start to day four.

We know how unpredictable the forecast can be, but we're looking pretty safe at the moment.

And that was about it, because the heavens opened after just 38 overs into Australia's innings to end proceedings.

You can watch the highlights below.

It probably helps England more, mainly because Australia were looking so comfortable and now leaves them with less time to reach their target.

So after that, it's probably right that we take a look at today's forecast.

  15. Postpublished at 08:08 British Summer Time 31 July 2023

But that six was pretty much the only thing England had to cheer all day.

It was set up beautifully for the last round of Broad v Warner, but it didn't quite go to plan.

Warner and Usman Khawaja batted, and batted, and batted.

They barely gave a chance as the pitch was flat, the ball did very little, and England looked lost for ideas.

Yesterday morning belonged to Stuart Broad, despite the underwhelming England performance with the ball that followed in the afternoon.

The legendary fast bowler received a guard of honour from Australia as he went out to bat, hit his last ball in Test cricket for six, and that was that.

    Good morning!

Thank you for joining us for our last Ashes live text of the summer. Hasn't that absolutely flown by?

    England need 10 wickets.

    Australia need 249 runs.

England want to level the series, Australia want to win it.

Which way is this one going?
