Oh, John.
Consider the can of worms opened.

Kohli unbeaten on 44, Rahane 20 not out
Green takes debated low catch to remove Gill for 18 before Rohit & Pujara fall in quick succession
Australia 270-8 dec: Carey 66*, Labuschagne 41, Starc 41; Jadeja 3-58

People do realise Kohli hasn't scored a Test ton outside India since 2019 and has 1 ton in his last 40 odd innings, right? He's no longer the Test batsman he was and hasn't been for some time now.

Rahane's 89 in the first innings kept India in the game.
Can he repeat the heroics second time around?
More sumptuous timing from the ever-impressive Ajinkya Rahane, as he drives Lyon effortlessly through the covers for four.
So pleasing to watch. 25 minutes to go.

India have regrouped a little since the loss of those two quick wickets.
Target 444
Well, you're not going to get him out bowling there.
Drifting down the leg side, and Kohli gratefully clips it for four.
Every run he scores brings an almighty roar. In fact, so do the dot balls.
Target 444
Another quiet over from Lyon, with just two from it, and Australia turn to Mitchell Starc for the next.
Maybe they have more of this in mind...
Lovely shot from Rahane, who just opens the face of the bat slightly and guides it past point for four.
The India fans are still so loud. It's great. You can't fault their commitment.
Nathan Lyon and Ravi Jadeja have both been handy for the over rate today.
Another whizzes by, just the single from it, as we head into the final 40 minutes of play.
It will be such a boost for India if this man is still there.
Target 444
Say it quietly, but Virat Kohli looks in the mood tonight.
He takes three more from Scott Boland's over.
Target 444
Ajinkya Rahane is one of those players that I'm always rooting for to do well, but I'm not entirely sure why.
He sweeps Nathan Lyon for four, which has Virat Kohli nodding in appreciation.

Boland has got to be the most dangerous bowler on this surface. However many Tests he plays during the Ashes he will be trouble for the batters.
Scott Boland zips a couple past Virat Kohli's edge - one even prompting an odd discussion about a review.
But Kohli responds with another wonderful piece of timing, clipping four through the leg-side as Boland goes too straight.

It's going to take something incredibly special from here. They didn't even get 300 in the first innings.
Nathan Lyon is just so good.
Makes England's spin conundrum for the Ashes even more glaring, doesn't it?

It needs one of Virat Kohli's epic innings to keep this game alive past tea time tomorrow.
Target 444
Just the single from Boland's latest, as Rahane clips off his pads from the last ball and keeps the strike.
Meanwhile, a Welsh football bucket hat is spotted in the crowd.
Niche.

Things are looking quite promising here for Australia. India got off to a good start but it makes you wonder if they can sustain it, which is difficult.
Virat Kohli at his very best.
A shimmy down the pitch towards Nathan Lyon, with the slightest flick of the wrists to angle it for four past mid-on.
Class.
He really is some bowler.
