Back-to-back boundaries! Brilliant from Kate Cross!

The first comes from a poor ball from Jess Jonassen and is pulled away fine.

But the next is a superb shot. A touch too full from Jonassen and Cross drills is back past the bowler. Straight as an arrow for four!

  3. Eng 236-8published at 44.2 overs

    Need another 28 to win

    How close is that?!

Kate Cross goes back to pull, misses and the ball comes down off a combination of arm, glove and pad before rolling past/ gently nudging leg stump.

    The bails stay on!

    Heather Knight is vital here.

  5. Eng 236-8published at 44 overs

    Need another 28 to win

Kate Cross is the new batter and gets off the mark with a drive to cover.

It's just a single, though, and last ball of the over so she'll keep strike. Australia won't mind that.

It is England's match to lose, but they are finding a way to lose at the moment.

It's been England's match to lose. They have been in a really good position from pretty early on in this chase, but things are getting pretty nervy.

  8. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43.3 overs

    Glenn c Litchfield b Gardner 3 (Eng 235-8)

Another goes - pressure is building on England!

Sarah Glenn pushed at it, got a leading edge and the ball carried to Phoebe Litchfield, low down at cover.

Australia are two wickets away. How soon before Heather Knight has to look to farm the strike?

    Super over, anyone?

  10. Eng 234-7published at 42 overs

Need another 30 from 42 balls.

"Go on the ball," you can hear Katherine Sciver-Brunt shout form the back of the TMS commentary box after Sarah Glenn pushes forward and gets an inside edge.

The ball is millimetres away from leg stump but misses and runs down towards fine leg. KSB is disappointed as the fielder prevents the boundary but they do run two.

Three from the over. Heather Knight will be on strike for the start of the next...

  13. Eng 231-7published at 42 overs

Need another 33 from 48 balls

Sarah Glenn comes in at number nine for England and gets off the mark with a single.

The strike is given straight back to her by Heather Knight but Glenn is content to see off the last two deliveries from Ash Gardner.

No need from Ecclestone. Sweeping isn't her strength.

The pairing between Ecclestone and Knight was key. Now we are into the tail.

England making it hard for themselves.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 41.2 overs

    Ecclestone c Wareham b Gardner 5 (Eng 229-7)

Caught in the deep! Did Sophie Ecclestone really need to do that?

She tries to slog-sweep Ashleigh Gardner, gets a decent chunk of it but not enough to clear the rope.

Georgia Wareham is waiting a couple of yards in from the boundary and takes the catch..

This is about to get very, very nervy!

Singles from the last two deliveries of the over.

    England are edging closer...

  17. dropped catch

Ecclestone dropped on fourpublished at 40.4 overs

    Eng 225-6

Tough chance but that will have to go down as a drop!

Sophie Ecclestone smashed the ball leg-side off Jess Jonassen. It went fast but was in the air and Tahlia McGrath gets a hand to it at mid-wicket.

She can't cling on and Ecclestone survives. It would've been a stunning catch.

    Target 264

Just one more from the over but with 10 overs to go, England are just 42 runs from victory.

The other side of it is that they only have four wickets remaining.

Still, no need for anything too risky at this stage.

When Heather Knight is sweeping and reverse-sweeping you know she is comfortable.

It is also a safe shot to be playing in this situation.
