    Eng 36-0

Yep, Sophia Dunlkey was out of her ground for a moment but stretched to get her back foot in and down before the stumps were broken.

    On we go.

  2. Umpire reviewpublished at 6.1 overs

    Eng 36-0

We've got an umpire review for a stumping after Sophia Dunlkey has a big swing and a miss off Megan Schutt.

Alyssa Healy whipped off the bails but I reckon the England opener was back in time.

Tammy Beaumont has hit four boundaries and I think they've all been to the off side. That was a damaging over from King.

  4. Eng 36-0published at 6 overs

    Four more to Tammy Beaumont!

Through the covers again but this time off the back foot as Alana King drags one slightly short.

  5. Eng 32-0published at 5.4 overs

    Target 283

Tammy Beaumont is really motoring now and this is a shot of real class.

Alana King gets the ball to drift in but Beaumont adjusts and hits inside-out, through the covers for four.

All along the ground. Gorgeous shot.

Alex Blackwell called for Alana King to be introduced early but this might be earlier than anyone anticipated.

The leg-spinner is on to bowl the sixth over of the innings...

Beaumont is looking good, out of these two you would expect Dunkley to be aggressive but Beaumont has targeted Gardner.

  8. Eng 25-0published at 5 overs

    Target 283

    And again!

This time Tammy Beaumont gives herself a bit of room and hits over mid-off again. Four more!

  9. Eng 21-0published at 4.4 overs

    Target 283

Tammy Beaumont is denied a boundary early in the over by some excellent work on the boundary by Annabel Sutherland.

But there is nothing that the fielders can do this time, lofted elegantly over mid-off by Beaumont.

One bounce for four. The England opener wants to get after Ashleigh Gardner.

It's another sell-out at the Ageas today.

  11. Eng 15-0published at 4 overs

    Target 283

Another very steady over from Megan Schutt to keep England to just two from the over.

The Australia seamer has not had the impact that she'd have liked in this series but she is still a top-class operator.

It would be great to see Alana King in the game, I'd get her in as soon as possible after the powerplay.

  13. Eng 13-0published at 3 overs

    Target 283

Nicely flicked through mid-wicket by Tammy Beaumont to end the over and a misfield allows the batters to get back for two.

A much better over for England to really get the innings up and running. They weren't going to let Ashleigh Gardner just settle in during the powerplay.

  14. Eng 9-0published at 2.3 overs

    Target 283

    Now we've started!

Tammy Beaumont skips down to Ashleigh Gardner and slaps the ball mid-off for the first boundary of the day.

    The crowd like that.

It's such a good match up with Gardner bowling, particularly at Dunkley, Australia are able to defend that.

  16. Eng 3-0published at 2 overs

    Target 283

England would have hoped for a fast start but the openers have been kept in check so far.

Megan Schutt is finding a decent amount of swing into the right-handers and quickly settles in on a good length.

Just two singles from the over.

I really like this move to open with spin.

Beaumont in particular loves pace on the ball and so it's a smart plan to try and frustrate her.

They've also put things right the other end by giving the new ball back to Megan Schutt after that unusual decision at Bristol to open with Ellyse Perry.

  18. Eng 1-0published at 1 over

Starting with spin works for Australia, at least in this first over, as England manage just a single from it.

Sophia Dunkley scores the only run, skipping down the pitch and pushing Ashleigh Gardner to long-on.

It will be seam from the other end. Megan Schutt is preparing to bowl.

Australia will be happy with what they've got to defend, especially after a remarkable final over that saw Georgia Wareham smash 26 off Lauren Bell...

Here come the players with England openers Tammy Beaumont and Sophia Dunkley following the Australia fielders out to the middle.

Interesting move from Alyssa Healy already. Off-spinner Ashleigh Gardner is going to open the bowling...
