  1. Eng 66-1published at 12 overs

    Target 283

Heather Knight comes in at three from England - it was Alice Capsey in the last match - and faces a big appeal for lbw second ball.

The ball from Georgia Wareham did turn but I fancy it was sliding just past leg, the umpire agrees.

Knight goes for a reverse to end the over but the ball is shorter than she expected and that results in an ungainly shot that bobbles to the backward point fielder.

It's a shot that Sophia Dunkley likes to play, she gets far too across her own stumps. Possibly she overthought it, when you are low on confidence, you can half-heartedly go.

    Dunkley b Wareham 13 (Eng 66-1)

    No confusion about that.

Sophia Dunkley moves across her stumps, looking for the lap sweep but misses and the ball thuds into middle and leg.

A wicket for Georgia Wareham in her first over. She's had a pretty good game so far...

Tammy Beaumont is shrugging and has raised her bat. She's confused like us.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Tammy Beaumont (?)published at 11 overs

    Eng 65-0

Confusion reigns as Tammy Beaumont clips the ball to deep mid-wicket for a single.

Does it bring up her half-century? We're still not entirely sure but there is applause for the crowd, the TV graphics suggest it is but other scorers have her on 46....

If it is a fifty for Beaumont, it's her 18th in ODIs and comes up from 37 balls.

Another bowling change and it is another seamer, Tahlia McGrath, into the attack.

At the same stage, Australia were 59-2.

  8. Eng 62-0published at 10 overs

    Target 283

Annabel Sutherland comes on to bowl the last over of the powerplay and it's a good one.

Just a pair of singles from it.

England will be delighted with their position at this stage, though.

It looks like that last shot definitely has been given as runs to Tammy Beaumont. It's yet another boundary for the England opener.

Here's another, Ashleigh Gardner clattered over the top for four...

  10. Eng 60-0published at 9 overs

    Dunkley 11, Beaumont 48

A slightly confusing end to the over as the ball does gone the leg side and away to the boundary.

Initially, it's given as wides. The umpire then changes his decision and it looks like leg byes are given.

Now it seems to have been given as runs for Tammy Beaumont.

What I can say with certainty is that it is four - not five - runs to the England total.

Beaumont knew that was coming and just whacked just where the fielder had been.

  12. Eng 56-0published at 8.4 overs

Short from Megan Schutt and Tammy Beaumont swats the ball over mid-on - one bounce for four!

For a moment it looked as if Beaumont was concerned about a fielder but it was never in doubt.

  13. 50 runs

    Eng 52-0published at 8.1 overs

    Target 283

Four more for Tammy Beaumont - and that's the fifty partnership!

Beaumont backed away, Megan Schutt followed her but the England right-hander quickly adjusted to sweep behind square again.

This is just the start that the home side wanted.

That was England's seventh four of the innings, but Dunkley's first.

  15. Eng 48-0published at 8 overs

    Target 283

Loose ball to finish the over from Alana King.

It's short, it's wide and it's cut away square by Sophia Dunkley. Just the sort of delivery the England opener would've wanted to get her going after a slow start.

Tammy Beaumont is flying at the moment. She's already hit six boundaries, including this one off Ashleigh Gardner...

Australia were 36-2 after seven overs.

  18. Eng 43-0published at 7 overs

    Target 283

A single ends the over and the change of ends hasn't worked for Megan Schutt.

After two very tidy overs at one, she struggled with her line at the other and concedes seven from it.

She's got the sweep shot and it was a full delivery. Megan Schutt is not getting her line right.

  20. Eng 42-0published at 6.4 overs

    Dunkley 7, Beaumont 34

Wayward from Megan Schutt. The ball is heading down leg and Tammy Beaumont helps it on its way with a very firm sweep shot.

No stopping that, it's another boundary for the England opener.
