  1. Eng 89-2published at 18 overs

    Target 283

Nat Sciver-Brunt is in at four and gets off the mark with an inside edge down to fine leg for two.

England, their captain in particular, are still dismayed by the wicket in that over.

Heather Knight was in no doubt whatsoever that she'd hit it. If she did, it was the finest of edges.

Heather is looking at her bat shaking her head, she can't believe it. There was movement on UltraEdge but it was very, very slight, it wasn't a nick. She was convinced she hit and it looked like she hit, I thought it was a terrible umpire decision, but that's not the case, she's out.

    Wow.

Heather Knight is in absolute disbelief, waving her arms to indicate it and she seems to think that UltraEdge has let her down there.

An interesting - and potentially huge - moment in the game.

  5. wicket

    Knight lbw b King 12 (Eng 86-2)

    Heather Knight is livid!

The England captain was across her stumps to paddle sweep and she is convinced she got bat on it.

However, there is only the tiniest squiggle on UltraEdge, never enough to overturn the decision and once the third umpire decides there is no bat involved, Knight is in trouble.

Three reds and Knight has to trudge off, shaking her head all the way.

    I think she's hit that.

  7. England reviewpublished at 17.2 overs

Heather Knight is given out lbw off Alana King.

She reviews immediately so she must think she hit it.

  8. Eng 86-1published at 17 overs

    Target 283

Another steady over from Tahlia McGrath, just three runs from it.

Heather Knight will feel it should have been more, though, after missing out on a short, wide delivery.

She gets one with a more risky shot to end the over, getting right across her stumps and just about getting something on it to deny McGrath a wicket.

I hope it doesn’t come down to Lauren Bell’s final over. She seems to lack a bit of confidence and so it would be such a shame.

Tammy Beaumont has been the standout for England to this point, hitting eight boundaries so far.

  11. drinks break

    Eng 83-1published at 16 overs

That's drinks after England take six from Georgia Wareham's over.

Heather Knight pulled out the reverse sweep again and made better contact this time, sending it to the left of backward point for two.

England will be happy enough but there's still a long way to go with another 200 runs required for victory...

That was close for Heather Knight but England have still lost just the one wicket so far.

That was Sophia Dunkley, bowled by Georgia Wareham...

Traditionally, the wicket here gets some pace and carry. That is mainly in men's cricket, there haven't been too many women's international games here. Some mixed signals down here.

  14. Eng 77-1published at 15 overs

    Lucky escape for Heather Knight!

Tahlia McGrath gets the ball to nip back to the England captain, finds the inside edge and the ball flies just past leg stump - missing it by millimetres - and runs away for four.

What a strange innings from Dunkley. With batters like Beaumont, Knight & Sciver-Brunt in the team surely she would be better off playing in T-20 mode.

    Tim, Southampton

13 from 30, and just 1 score of 30+ in 7 innings. I wonder if England will consider bringing Lamb in for the final ODI if they can get the win here.

There was more shrugging from Tammy Beaumont after receiving applause for reaching her fifty for the second time.

Good news is that she definitely has got there now. Far better to celebrate it twice than be dismissed after raising your bat, only to be told you only got 47 once your got back to the changing room.

Joe Gibney: A reminder that Tammy Beaumont wasn't seen as scoring fast enough to make the Commonwealth Games squad. That went well.

piemontemio: Didn't want us to lose a wicket, but if I had to choose, then Dunkley it would have been. Come on England - you can have these!

  18. 50 runs

50 to Tammy Beaumontpublished at 13.1 overs

    Eng 70-1

OK, now Tammy Beaumont has reached her 18th ODI half-century!

It comes up from 45 balls. Slightly slower than we thought a few overs back but still an important one for England.

  19. Eng 69-1published at 13 overs

    Target 283

Just three singles from Tahlia McGrath's over.

Two of them to Tammy Beaumont to take her to 49...

At last, we have confirmation. Tammy Beaumont has NOT yet reached her half-century.

That boundary a couple of overs back did go down as leg byes so the England opener is on 47, three short of an 18th ODI fifty.

Here are a couple more boundaries that definitely did come off her bat...
