A brilliant partnership so far, it looks a very good pitch to bat on, just the ability to rotate the strike. When she came on, there was an almighty roar for Heather Knight.

  2. Eng 80-2published at 16 overs

This is excellent batting from two of England's most senior players, they are not allowing Alana King to settle at all.

The leg-spinner was arguably the difference in the second ODI but has taken a bit of punishment so far today.

She lifted it over mid-wicket, when Sciver-Brunt is like this, the ball goes flying.

    Six!

Having hit over mid-on for four earlier in the over, Nat Sciver-Brunt goes again with a bit more force.

This time the ball carries all the way and lands flush on the boundary cushion!

Just seven boundaries today, five were in the powerplay. It's all been about the rebuild from 12-2.

Clever batting, there haven't been many boundaries, but these are comfortable just rotating the strike.

  7. Eng 68-2published at 15 overs

    Knight 29, Sciver-Brunt 27

Heather Knight drives firmly through the covers and to the right of the fielder sweeping on the off-side boundary.

She wants two and Nat Sciver-Brunt sprints back to make sure her captain gets them.

Five from the Ash Gardner over.

She's back in but that was a near thing. Her foot was out of the crease but Sciver-Brunt got it back in. I think everyone's heart stopped there.

    Safely back.

Nat Sciver-Brunt was a couple few inches out of her ground for a moment but was able to get her toe planted in the crease before Alyssa Healy whipped off the bails.

  10. Umpire reviewpublished at 14.1 overs

We've got an umpire review for a stumping after Nat Sciver-Brunt plays and misses at Ash Gardner.

The England batter doesn't look too concerned, though.

A 50-run partnership from Knight and Sciver-Brunt, that is crucial. These two look pretty settled right now.

This is a good rebuild from England.

  13. Eng 63-2published at 14 overs

    Top shot!

Last ball of the Alana King over and Heather Knight dances down to pop the ball over mid-off, one bounce for four.

    Very nicely done.

It's not just NSB playing the eye-catching shots today, Heather Knight played an exquisite straight drive a couple of overs back...

  15. Eng 56-2published at 13 overs

No surprise then that we're going to see more spin. Ash Gardner is back into the attack.

The over flies by without too much incident. England add another four singles to the total.

During these ODIs, England have lost just two wickets to pace, but 13 to spin. Australia have lost eight to pace and seven to spin. It's been all about the spin.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is just starting to get into her groove now...

  18. 50 runs

    Eng 52-2published at 12 overs

Lovely shot to finish the over. Nat Sciver-Brunt uses her feet and drives elegantly between extra cover and mid-off, all along the ground for four.

There was a warning of the danger Alana King poses a few balls earlier though as the spinner turned one past Sciver-Brunt's outside edge.

I think England have proved that these partnerships are key. The last game just needed one more partnership of 10 runs and they would have won, it would have been their highest ever run chase for a second game running.

  20. Eng 47-2published at 11 overs

The England batters are happy dealing in singles for the time being as they look to build a platform from which they can launch later in the innings.

Four of them in the Annabel Sutherland over and now we're going to see a bit of leg-spin. It's Alana King time...
